I seriously don't know how I haven't written this review…read more First, some back story. In 2011 my dad was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive skin cancer. About 3,000 people worldwide are diagnosed with this every year. Anyhow we're fortunate to be in Philly where there is world class medicine, and he's a retired Union telephone worker which meant his health insurance was good. What does this have to do with Dr. Turner? Good question. Many of the doctors who took care of my dad were very specialized. When I asked if they'd look at a spot on my skin, they said no, because they don't see routine skin issues. Instead, his team sent me to Dr. Turner. I've been seeing her ever since. Her office is on the ground floor of a professional building near Bryn Mawr Hospital. Easy to get to and plenty of parking in their rear lot, which is also the building main entrance. Her office is clean and bright, her staff friendly and she's very easy to talk to, especially when I'm always secretly terrified I'll also get a rare cancer like dad (not hereditary). I would recommend her for medical dermatology in a heartbeat. I don't use any cosmetic skin care so I can't peak to that.

I go here regularly for skin checks. The staff are always really pleasant. The waiting room is like…read moreany other waiting room I guess. Rooms have always been clean. But I feel like the service I get is pretty nice quality. They know their stuff really well and take the time to educate you.

I was ready to make a life change and to find the proper surgeon to work on my face. I was not…read morecontent with the increasing asymmetry and tired appearance of my eyes as well as witnessing office drama with my latest surgeon. I chose Dr. Lee's practice because of favorable reviews. I'm an adopted Asian American woman (I will be 50 this year) and was having a difficult time connecting with any surgeon that a natural and less evasive approach was what I wanted. I also desired a local physician. Upon meeting Dr. Lee and his capable staff while sitting in his naturally lit treatment room, I was hopeful. Dr. Lee's recommendations (right upper eyelid surgery , both lower eyelids and a silhouette lift mid-face) for me has resulted in a much needed boost in my confidence in as little as 1 month and gaining as I continue to heal beautifully. I am very grateful to have Dr. Lee and his sweet support staff as a valuable resource. They have managed to help me make my transformation remarkably seamless.

I reached out to this office to schedule a consultation. I was asked to send pictures and to…read morespecify what I was seeking. I did so and mentioned what a previous oculoplastic surgeon recommended after surgery with him. I then received a very rude email stating that my eyes were shaped "extremely different" (duh, I know that, that's why I'm seeking help), and that the surgery wouldn't be helpful. No suggestions for an in person consultation. If I look so "extremely" uneven, wouldn't you at least want to try to help me? Photos are limited for evaluation. Also, I just mentioned what one doctor suggested years ago. Obviously I don't believe that what was mentioned then is still what I need. I just finished medical school and honestly, I'm still so peeved and hurt by this unprofessional encounter I felt the need to write. Having a congenital eye disorder results in a lot of insecurities, and having a sensitive bedside manner is really important when helping potential patients. I felt awful about myself after this encounter and stopped seeking help for some time...I just hope whoever wrote that email has learned to be more sensitive towards vulnerable patients. PS I lived 10 min from the office at the time I asked about a consultation.
