Sheesh. Suddenly having a filthy car was not such a bad thing. *BUT* I frequently pass this sign and a truck outlining mobile detailing... So, for more or less ish's and giggles I [online searched] for these people on a Wednesday. Admittedly I thought there was no way in bleep I could afford such. Mayuhn was I WRONG. Their best was advertised online cheaper than any wash place. The website was really simple and no baloney pricing... But the biggest thing that caught my eye beyond the price was the promise. I was sold on just getting my car bathed by them, so, I hit the link. Eureka! The "Contact Us" link really went to, get this - A human!... The human rocket fired back a couple of simple questions on a beautiful Wednesday via email. Yes, my car is filthy and yes, I need the best job y'all can do is essentially what I said, the response was they could come Friday. No bait and switch, no shenanigans. Something has to be amiss, right? Dirt cheap and you come to...Me? Either I'm in for an expensive lesson or the best darn thing since cold beer. My appointment time was between 11:30 and Noon. These folks showed up early on my day off and ready to work which knocked my socks off. Punctuality and work ethic is a big deal to me. That is an often underrated and depreciated trait - I happen to value such. I explained my ancient, paid off sled has been touched up at a few wash lodge places over the decade I've owned it, but otherwise has only been detailed twice - Once intentionally, the last time when I contemplated trading it in and the handy plastic they slapped over my floorboards was still there. Sure, it resembles a high end luxury car and I vividly recall the day I bought it...It was cold and rainy and I hated the color but it had every feature I wanted... But that's been a hot minute. Now it looks like some homeless guy has been squatting in it, smoking cigarettes & drinking coffee full time. This took all of 4 minutes to explain so you fellow Yelpees should appreciate the time it took me to peck out that verbal exchange... I digress.
