On Friday May 6th I had my mother take a different car to work so we could surprise her. I received a call from Christian stating because I booked online a technician was not assigned to the job and they didn't have one available. I explained it was a gift etc. He offered a 20% discount and rescheduled for May 10th at 1:00. May 10th comes and no technician yet again so I txt the owner. He says I am not scheduled my appointment must be with another company, I let him know I am 100% certain I am and I'm certain it's with his company. He lets me know I am scheduled for June 2nd. At this point I call Christian and he confirms he spoke to me and that he is the one who called me to reschedule for the 10th at 1pm ( again my mother left her car here). So on 2 different occasions Mobile Detail Dr did not show up. The 1st time it was blamed on the online booking system second time i was out in on the wrong date. Needless to say at this point I'm finding a more reliable company.

the team at caliber are literal saints and all stars!…read more i was rear ended stopped at a light by a driver on their cell phone who failed to even brake on a 45 mph road here in cary. my car was slammed from behind and pushed into the car in front of me and undriveable. it was towed off and then the at fault driver's insurance caught wind their $50,000 property damage limit was likely insufficient for two damaged cars and they left it all on me. enter alora. i needed to get the car towed somewhere to assess damage. caliber was slammed but the only place that came highly, highly recommended. as alora was recommending back up places i started to cry explaining the insurance left me hanging with three costly car seat replacements, a crazy hassle for a comparable rental, and a back and forth runaround that was insane ... and then she took control... she wanted to help. and help me she did: they did more to get things moving than both insurance companies.  she knew my car was likely a total loss and yet alora took it upon herself, busy as can be, to reach out to the regional liberty mutual rep to get them to issue a claim number so she get things moving. i have a business background and if that isn't girlboss, tell me what is. i'll wait. car accidents are expensive. they are a navigation and logistical nightmare. if you're in this situation i am so very sorry. repairs take real professionals. the best thing you can do is go to a team that cares to do right. I wouldn't recommend the service quality to anyone. Buyer beware the proof is in the pics. I hired Nathan Barnes to detail a 2nd vehicle to get it ready for online sale. I contacted Nathan…read morevia direct message on Instagram and scheduled him to: Remove partial vinyl wrap; claybar; wash; spray wax the vehicle. It was done as a mobile service at my home. I provided water hookups and electricity for his equipment. He arrived at 9:15 for a 9:30AM appointment. He worked on the vehicle for most of the day and stopped just before dusk. This was the last week of December 2023. Upon inspection at completion Nathan had not removed all of the residue in some areas from the vinyl. He also left 2 different grease pencil marks on the vehicle which I was able to remove the next morning with a simple swip of a paper towel and some 90% alcohol. When the job was completed he wanted to upsell me on paint correction. I had just paid him $240 for a job that was not completed. He wanted an additional $450 or more for paint correction. Paint correction was not needed as I found out from the detailer who finished the work that Nathan did not. When I text messaged Nathan to let him know I was able to easily remove the grease pencil from the car's paint he responded: "Cool." While he was here he also bashed potential clients whose work he did not want to take and kept stating "My rates are going to be going up." I found this behavior unprofessional. He also wanted me to disclose other detailers rates - likely in an effort to undercut competition which is never a sign of good quality work. My previous experiences with Nathan were positive however this work was not professional or even remotely acceptable. Not once during the day did Nathan let me know he was encountering any problems with the services requested - as I was sitting maybe 25 feet away at my desk on the patio. If he was having issues he could have spoke up and we could have addressed them. He also could have assessed the vehicle before work started as well, he did not. The detailer who re-did Nathan's work charged me a very reasonable rate and apologized for Nathan's poor work. Nathan's inability to render proper services costed me additional Uber rides to and from the other detailer and to pick up my vehicle from indoor storage. It also delayed the sale of my vehicle by about a month. When he finished for the day he posted my vehicle on his Instagram without my permission and intentionally took distant shots to not expose the areas he left residue on. I thought this was unprofessional - leading his clients to believe he did a superb job when he did not. He then texted me after I commented on his post stating he left residue behind and wanted to have a text discussion or debate while I was attempting to eat dinner. I did not want a refund or partial refund. I wanted the services completed so I could move onto selling the car. Refunding me all or some of my money doesn't help my agenda of having a vehicle ready for sale. I let him keep the $240 - as he is still working from his parents driveway which is a sign his business might not be doing so well. He also sent me a message about what product to order to complete the job - I just paid him to do. I'm attaching photos of the residue he left behind - which was easily removed with alcohol. The detailer I ended up hiring to complete and redo Nathan's work was professional, thorough and highly worthy of a 5.0 star rating and reputation he has earned for the years he's been in business. I can't endorse Nathan Barnes Auto Detailing for obvious reasons at this time. I never like leaving 1star reviews but this was definitely earned in this case.
