Dr is good but billing department is horrible! There's a manipulative lying woman named Elvia who after you sign a contracted payment arrangement tries to force you to sign up with a company who pays them in full and then you pay the company payments sort of like after pay with intrest I'm sure But when i declined I was told they can't take my scheduled payments in office anymore all though they could take payment in full or even half this all happened after the 5k balance was paid down to 800..so I told her I'd be happy to pay the remaining balance in full when the job was finished and my daughters braces were coming off but I was not paying in full early since there were already 1 1/2 years passed due on there planned completion date which she blamed covid and blamed my kids mother for not scheduling her appointments and stated it wasn't there job to make appointments for my kid which made zero since since ya know dr's tend to know when they want to see you next but she eventually agreed to me paying in full since she claimed they would be removing her braces in 4 weeks and I agreed to pay that day 4 weeks later.. fast forward a few weeks my daughter goes to her appointment Elvia calls says they are removing her braces and I have to pay I agreed and told them I'd pay then I tell my daughter she's getting her braces off and she says dad my teeth are still crooked on the bottom so I questioned Elvia on this and she says ok so we're not removing them but you still have to pay in full today lol...after I refused to pay until they were ready to remove her braces she decided to tell my kid that they couldn't look at her teeth that day because her dad was being difficult and wouldn't pay! Luckily the dr said no that's not how it works and did the rite thing at looked at her teeth.. then she decided to slander me and complain about me to my child and my child's mother but took no blame herself for being a liar and trying to manipulate me because she's bitter I wouldn't agree with all her lies and excuses anyways long story short since there was a lot more drama I'd just say be careful here unless you like hearing excuses and being manipulated lied to and possibly talked bad about to your child because you defended yourself from miss Elvia read more

I loved my experience with Dr. Boese. I started out in 2006 and got my braces off in 2009. (It would have been faster but I would always reschedule with them because I was active in sports). The staff was wonderful and I was always excited to go back in and see everyone. They have continued to help me as an adult with retainers when they break, and the orthodontists are wonderful. I live in Los Angeles. For 2 years, I searched for an orthodontist for my son. I went to 2 in Santa Monica and 1 in Pacific Palisades. The doctor in Santa Monica, told me that he would have to wear two very painful ( yes he even said the word painful) brackets on his back molars, with rubber bands to move his jaw forward, before he could even put braces on.... at the time, my son was just about to turn 11 and had not even gotten his 12 year molars! The other very very well known doctor in Pacific Palisades whom "everyone, who is anyone" goes to...meaning every star and want to be star in Los Angeles, told me, that my son would need surgery. He would wear braces, and then when he was finished growing, by age of 20 he would perform a very minimal surgery to move his jaw forward...and "make it grow bone." ( yes the doctor would have to be paid for a surgery he would perform, after the braces, and he would make his jaw grow, to compensate for the bite issue ) All my son had to hear was painful, and surgery and he was scared to death, to say the least. I opted for the second doctor, not because my son wanted to be a star, but because everyone else in Los Angeles was going to him. 9 thousand dollars later, not only did my son never wear braces, but we were in the same position for 2 years!! Meaning, nothing had changed. I told the doctor, please put braces on him, he will not wear invisalign, but the doctor would come in, and look at me, and look at my son, and say..." oh come on ol chap..!! you can do it...can't you?!" You do not really want to have braces on...right?! Now my son is 13 and we have been going back and forth with this doctor, who is very pleasant and charming, but not listening to me that my son will not wear the invisalign..I'm like come on, I can barely get him to remember to pack everything in his bag for school in the morning, let alone try to get him to wear these things. The last time we saw this doctor was in August. Now, the situation has changed. He listened to me, that my son will not wear the invisalign. (yay!!) But he states, let's give this other method a whirl....meaning wear a bionater....for those who do not know what this prehistoric device is....it is a type of retainer you put in your mouth and it has a key...to expand your bite. After doing this, then he would go back to the invisalign, and yep....need surgery to correct his jaw at age 20!!! I had had it. Literally, at my wits end. My parents, live in the valley, and recommended Dr. Boese. Dr. Lee got us in literally the same week. He had requested all of the x rays from the doctor in the Palisades, and went over them thoroughly. He even walked me through all of them step by step. He said, I do not know why this doctor is making this a surgical case. It is not a surgical case, it is straight forward. This was the end of September 2019. We drive up, 400 miles to see Dr. Lee once a month, for him to change out his wire, etc, etc,. On our last visit, Dr. Lee said that not only would my son's braces be coming off in May, he would not need the surgery the other doctor kept telling me about. My son, is wearing good old fashioned braces. Not a prehistoric device to set up for a surgery he would never need. Dr. Lee and his staff are impeccable. The office is beautiful. I cannot stress, how nice and compassionate everyone is that works there...Dr. Lee, consistently takes time with him and me, and answers all of our questions. I cannot believe that living in Los Angeles, (home of the Hollywood elite) that there was not a competent doctor to help us., Instead I would have to drive 400 miles to get Elite Orthodontics..from a star doctor. Seriously, it is worth it, and there is nothing like peace of mind, knowing that your child will have a beautiful smile, and not be out thousands of dollars later in life, for a surgery he would not need!! I have been going to Dr. Boese for the last for 4+ years now. I hated my teeth in the beginning, never wanting to show my smile in photos. In just the few months of Dr. Boese putting on my braces I started to notice an incredible difference within my teeth. I now have my braces off and have been loving showing my new smile off!! Hated this place and would never recommend anyone go here! I had my braces on for nearly 7 years and was told for the last 3 of those years that I was "so close" to getting them off. My grandson was a very difficult cleft palate case and we have just finished his orthodontic treatment. His smile is now amazing and his cleft on his lip looks like a small scar. Their office was very thorough and they even have hospital privileges so Dr Boese was able to go in after the surgeon and cement the expander and place the braces while my grandson was still sedated. read more

The only reason I gave them one star is because you can't give them a zero. Their staff is the sweetest staff but the orthodontist are HORRIBLE. They told me 2 -2 1/2 years and it took them four years. Also once your done paying they no longer call you to confirm appointments and the drs couldnt care less about what happens to your teeth. I really hope this reveiw helps someone because i never EVER would recommend you to go through such an unpleasent experience. My teeth still have gaps (because of the drs mistake) and he now wants to charge me (again) to fix them and also i went to the dentist and one of my teeth had been cracked from the inside due to the braces shifting my teeth too harshly. As someone in the dental field I had 3 orthodontists in mind. Dr Boese office was the last office we went to for my daughter. First he actually looked in her mouth after taking a free X-ray and dental photos. He also spend over 30 minutes doing a consultation with us answering all my questions and making my daughter really excited about treatment. Dr Boese fee was very affordable the first Otho I went to for an exam was very high and the second one would not even let me see the doctor because I didn't have Ortho insurance. Dr Boese office offered me 3 types of payment plans which came out to less than $90.00 a month. His office is state of the art and he has 3 locations. I highly recommend Dr Boese office and his staff, as a transfer patient from another local Orthodontic office I was surprised in the difference in the quality of materials and the attention to detail which was missing at the other office. First I did not even realize that the braces and all of the wires Dr Boese office used were made in the US while the old one 's I had which kept falling off and staining my teeth were made in China or some place overseas. Second, Dr Boese made me aware of my whole smile and bite not just how straight my teeth were, he showed me before and after pictures and you could noticeably see my smile was broader and my dental midlines lined up with my face which when I transferred was way off.
