Came to use my gift card here I got for my birthday. I was a regular customer who always tips great. I have ADHD so looking at the thousand swatches has always been very overwhelming and distracting. I prefer to look at the actual bottles like I always have and has never been an issue. I always put them back in the exact spot every time. One of the technicians came over to me and said you don't put them back in the right spot you can't look at those. look at the swatches. Walked in to the place and you are not greeted you are yelled at to write your phone number on a piece of paper and they will call you.. they don't even tell you how long- this should have been my first sign. Asked for a manicure and pedicure for both my daughter and I the lady took my daughter over slapped one coat of nail polish on her nails and told her to go dry... I said a manicure not some shit I could have done myself at home and not paid them for. During this half ass nail polish job my daughter asked if she could have two colors and the lady told her no, last time I checked I'm paying you for a service if my child wants two colors you aren't the one to say no even if I have to pay extra. I proceeded to wait in a pedicure chair for about 30 minutes before the lady came over I received my mediocre pedicure nothing special about it again I could have just done it at home. And then brought me to the drying station since she clearly forgot I said both manicure and pedicure.. so she brought me over and gave me a mediocre manicure ( also if you do end up going here don't let them do your cuticles, they cut them up and make them look nasty ) went to the drying station was drying for about 30 minutes when the lady came over to check my nails- she dug her nail into my still wet (since the nail polish was old and she put way too much on for it to actually dry) nail messed up the nail and then put my hand back under the dryer lol so I had to ask to have them fix it another 30 minutes goes by she checks them says their dry- cool I pay I walk out the door and go to grab something out of my purse when they all smudged there was no drying this nail polish so after wasting 3-4 hours of my life I walked back in and asked for my money back they offered to re do my nails to which I said no ( as if I would ever let them touch my nails again ) and she offered to give me 5$ back.. I have been getting my nails done for years and have never broke 4 off and never had gel color bubble. Start to finish horrible service. Poor communication, between them and with customers. Got a pedicure and fill, asked for gel nail polish on both hands and feet, my feet were not gel, but the pain she put me in during the pedicure I wasn't going to say anything I wanted to hurry up and be done. My toe nails aren't even properly cut, they had jagged edges and I had to trim them when I got home. As for my nails, she was rough and didn't pay attention cutting me many times throughout with various tools. One hand doesn't even look like I just had them done, and the painting is sloppy on both hands. I've never been here, but I wanted a simple manicure and didn't want to go out of the way to get to my favorite nail salon. I was the only person in the nail salon and they attended me right away, but me choosing a color didn't seem to be a priority for them before having me sit down. The woman rushed through filing and buffing my nails. In fact, she didn't even buff them because my nail beds just had a bunch of scratches on them. The scratches were only on the top of my nail, so she didn't even bother scratching up all sides of my nail bed. My nails were poorly filed, uneven, and misshaped. She didn't even clip them to ensure that they were all the same length. My cuticles? A mess. She then proceeded to take a 1/4 of a pump of lotion, put it on the top of my hand, and made 5 small rubs onto the top of my hand, the opposite side of my palm. It didn't even cover the entire top of my hand, nor did she massage or put the lotion on the rest of my hand. I left the salon with dry, ashy hands. When she asked me what color I wanted, I asked for a nude. She found a nice pink on her table, showed it to me, and proceeded to end up using a completely different shade, which was holographic ............. The application was sloppy and rushed, and no brush was used to tidy up or anything. Overall, everything was a mess. read more

Anytime we looked at colors 2 other people came and crowded around us and we couldn't understand what they were saying (which wouldn't have been an issue if they weren't being seemingly pushy). I came here to get my nails done. I usually get the dip powder so that's what I ended up getting. I showed the lady what color I wanted and she went to grab it right behind her. She opened it and looked at me like it was the wrong color. I told her that was not the color i wanted. She turned around and placed it back on the shelf and I WATCHED HER she picked it up again and said "this is the right color now." I tried to explain that was the same color, and it was still wrong. She didn't care she continued to use it. I was supposed to get a darker pink and this is nude. tell me how this is the right color.... also she used a power tool that cut up my tissue all around my nails and I was bleeding and just put the bur back in her bin. Oh boy. This was an experience. I came here to get my nails done using the dip powder. I have gotten it done at other nail salons and love the outcome. I decided to get it here since it was $35 as opposed to most places I go to which charge $40. The service here is never that great, today especially. The woman who did my nails wasn't overly rude but she wasn't the friendliest person. She was rushing everything resulting in a rushed job. The majority of my nails do not feel smooth, rather they look and feel lumpy due to the dip not being applied correctly. All of my nails are different sizes and looked as if they were filed sideways. Not to mention the woman was twisted my thumbs so hard they felt like she was trying to break them. She also did not have me was my hands at the end, resulting in chalky feeling hands and gunk on the insides of my nail from the different clear coats she put on. Personally, I would rather spend 5 dollars more elsewhere for better service and better looking nails. I will not get my nails done here again. Might I add the store was completely dead besides my mom, myself, and two others. I wouldn't be suprised if this place closes by next year. When you search this place on google, it has a rating of 4.4 stars. Yeah right! Check the yelp reviews for. the truth. I went here today day with four friends to get our nails and toes done after waiting a while to start our services they began our pedicures. We were willing to overlook how rough the nail tech was ( left many open cuts and holes on hands and feet). Then we moved on to nails the techs were aggravated by any basic request made (shape and length etc). When my nails were done they proceeded to grossly over change me around $40. After we brought this to their attention the staff became hostile and rude. My friend who's nails were nothing but filed said she was not interested in getting her nails done any further due to the poor work done and the inability to even discuss the ridiculous prices that were much higher according to the staff then the prices that were advertised online and on the salon wall. Her nail technician proceeded to start yelling at me saying I had not paid when I had just spent well over 200 on services and a generous tip with receipt in hand. She screamed at myself " I don't work for free I work food, square up " ( not sure if that was a threat or a prompt to pay more when I had already payed and exceeding amount over the sticker price for at best the type of job a toddler would have done ) Stay clear unless you want to be overcharged,threatened, and injured. Where do I even start, I was immediately directed to a guy to do my nails, no wait was cool, until they started off by not really talking to me just pointing and confusing me as to where I was supposed to go. So after sitting in the wrong chair a few times and him angrily pointing out but not vocalizing my error my anxiety was already high. He didn't give me much time to pick my nail color( I got stuck with one when I wanted two) or even talk about if I wanted an add on to my nail because I thought they were too short, but again didn't talk to me even though I would've loved to compare and pay more for better. He started on cleaning my nails and I was already freaked out when I realized how unsanitary it was, nothing was new from a package like most places I'd been before. He kept motioning for me to put my hand in this gel machine way before I even had gel or paint on my nails which was confusing too. On top of that the machine kept turning on and off, and while he was cutting my cuticles he pushed and scraped too far on a few that made me bleed and in the gel machine started burning my finger tips. So needless to say I was terrified that I already had the beginnings of an infection and then noticing his "white" gloves had yellow finger tips probably from being a smoker since he was dressed and ready to take a break after my session. There was also no even amount of time that he had my nails set in the gel machine so I kept having to move them to turn on the machine again because it kept turning off. He gave me a cuticle oil after all was done and half assed hand massage with a lotion that must've been old cause it was crusty and giving my hands a horrible unclean sensation. Overall the color is beautiful but they didn't tell me the magnetic stripe in the middle on the one I picked was 5$ extra until I was already done and paying expecting 25 for the whole thing but getting charged 30. I unfortunately felt forced to tip the guy so I wouldn't get yelled at as I've been witness to before. I thought it started off nicely enough; I walked in and said that I'd like a manicure, was instructed to pick a color and sit at a station. While I was picking a color, one of Dartmouth's finer citizens - complete w/ tramp stamp, pajama pants, and dingy headband - walks in for "Acrylic full set" and suddenly I'm the redheaded stepchild. How can this be? You ask. Well it's simple: my manicure costs ten dollars and a "full set" costs almost three times that much. My manicurist promptly began rushing through my service, filing back and forth (seriously, who the hell still does that to natural nails??) and constantly checking the door because Snooki said she would be back. And to top it all off, my finger was bleeding like there was no tomorrow after the cuticle removal!! And to top THAT all off, it got painted over, so I had a painted nail with congealed blood under it!! I contemplated not tipping. Seriously contemplated it. But I just couldn't do it, I'm not one of those people. I hope they were just having an off day, but I'm not going back to find out. I came home only to redo everything. If I had known that this would be the result, I would have stayed home and not maimed my finger. No. Just no. I went in here because its close to UMASS and I did not have time to drive to Fall River where I could have went to a place with a 3x better review on Yelp. They told me to pick out a color from the Shellac color section. Their Shellac colors are displayed on popsicle sticks with one end painted with the color. Very unprofessional. You can barely tell what the color would actually look like on your white nail because its on a brown popsicle stick. So I picked a color that I thought was red, and on my nail it came out more pink. But that's not the problem. Shellac is supposed to last 2 weeks if it is done correctly. Literally 24 hours after going here my thumb nail was already half chipped off. I went in for them to fix it and I could not even bring myself to pay them for the nail repair or a tip because I had just paid good money ($25 for Shellac manicure and a $5 tip) for a manicure that is more expensive because it is supposed to last 2 weeks. It is now 4 days post manicure and the rest of my nails are already starting to chip. I have never gotten a worse Shellac manicure. They do an excellent job with nails. Had 3 different people do them. I particularly like the way the younger girl does them. A couple of arguments with 2 different customers and the nail ladies. They were rude to the customers and then continue to all speak loudly in their language clearly talking about the customers. I decided to stop at Lee's nails while I was at Dartmouth mall to save some time. I needed a acrylic fill. On my ring fingers I had a same color swirl with white. Nothing fancy at all!!! I asked for them to be thin and for her to do the same thing to my ring finger nails. She said yes she could. When she was done with the fill, one of the nails faced to the right. When I said it she looked at me like she didn't know what I meant. I pointed and said, "it's facing the wrong way". She was put out that I wanted it corrected. Another nail didn't reach my cuticles on the sides and I had her fix that to. After the 1st coat, I pointed out that it wasn't covering very well. She did 2 coats but I didn't realize until after I left that there were still areas that looked see through. She tried a few times to do a swirl, after she tried to practice on her napkin and had to take off what she tried on my nails 6 times I told her to do whatever she wanted. She dabbed white to make a flower and drew black wisps for the leaves? I was there for 2 hours for a fill and was over it. I went to pay and saw she'd charges me $48. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I went in for a gel full & wanted a simple French tip for my birthday. Everything was fine until she started painting them and you could still see the red paint from my previous nails. I pointed it out and she attempted to fix only one nail. They're all bumpy and uneven, there's red paint and visible blotches/white lines. I mean it's a French, how can you as a nail technician not see that?! I called from my car and the old woman in charge barely understood me. I went back in and the old woman left the salon, totally not caring at all that she had an unhappy customer. My figure was cut 3 times from both the filing process done by hand and with the machine. My nails sloppily done and came out horrible. The techs are not sanitary and are constantly on their phones while working on my nails. She had a mani/shellac and a pedi. She noticed that the lady was rushing with her and made a few mistakes on her pedi. My sister politely asked her to fix it and she did while proceeding to talk to another tech in her language. Then she rushed her with her nails and my sister didn't want to make scene because other customers were around so she paid her once she was done and left. Today my sister decided to go back as soon as they opened to express her concerns and get her money back. The owner refused but said she would redo them.
