Su came highly recommended by my realtor. She handled a coop sale for me in Forest Hills. Su is extremely knowledgeable in the process and takes her time explaining everything. Her professionalism, dedication and diligent follow-up are commendable. I was out of state, and Su's expert knowledge and guidance was reassuring. She handled the sale process from beginning to end with zero issues. Su is very personable, easy to work with and I highly recommend her services! read more

Su is great and worth every cent. You're not just hiring a lawyer. You're getting a voice of reassurance and someone who has your back. Someone who works with you and works to make the process easier for you. And believe me, it's a nerve-wracking process buying a co-op. No way around the anxiety. I told Su I don't think I could have done it without her. She's super easy to talk to and she responds quickly. I used her because of great reviews and I hope you'll use her because of mine. :) read more

We had a terrible experience with Su. She quit on us less than 20 hours prior to closing on our 2+million dollar property and almost cost us closing. As a lawyer, you have a fiduciary responsibility to your clients. In Su's case, you have a responsibility towards her. She was adequate in getting details of contract sorted out. She went over details of contract with us and explained redimentary language in our contract was able to answer most of our question. We had over 3 months to close so we comfortable. So we thought... Fast forward to 3 weeks before closing. Su We gave her 14 days to choose from to coordinate with sellers attorney. Then she had the audacity to try to charge us $250 more for a 10 am closing saying "it's an unusual time for closing on a house." She had 3 weeks to schedule to prepare us for closing. We had the date and time set. This was our first time closing and she did not adequately prepare us for closing no coaching on what we need what checks need to certified. Its the day before closing... 2 pm and no information about what we need. I send her an email asking for specifics and what we need and tell her that her actions are inappropriate. We need to know how what certified checks we need and what other documents we need to prepare. We have less than 20 hours to close and we are not prepared because our lawyer hasn't informed us what we need. Su calls my pregnant wife screaming at her for asking these questions and saying she is bending over backwards to accommodate the date we wanted close. When you hire Su as your lawyer... You don't hire her you have to do things her way. She will not work for your benefit only hers. She get irritated and agitated when you ask questions. I would not recommend her. Su nearly cost us losing our deposit and mortgage because she could not act professionally. Yelpers please consider hiring someone else. Su does not work on your behalf she is irresponsible rude and unprofessional. read more

Su came recommended to us via our real estate seller agent as a trusted attorney. As we moved 4 hours away, it was hard for us to manage things in person and deal with a coop board that is very finicky. Su was very communicative, professional, and handled the entire process with expediency. She was given power of attorney to act on my behalf and she and the real estate agent handled everything remotely without having me do a thing, other than sign a handful of forms! I highly recommend you reach out to Su for the next purchase/sale of your home! read more

Su helped me throughout the whole process very thoroughly. Everything worked out perfect with the purchase of my condo. I couldn't be more satisfied with her professional service. 100% would recommended to anyone who needs an attorney who guides you throughout the whole process from start to finish. Thank you so much Su. read more

We used Su for a purchase on a Coop in Queens. She was very responsive and professional. She definitely knew the ins and outs of the myriad Coop purchasing process as she had corrected several stakeholders multiple times. She will always have your back and we couldn't recommend her more! read more

I hired Su to do a closing of a house based on a recommendation from a long time friend and business partner. She was very professional and had all the details ready for us. Su was available most of the time for a quick text, email or call. She is very responsive, which I love. She explained everything clearly to me and the expectations. I actually used Su and her company for 2 different real estate purchases. On the first transaction, everything was going smoothly as we had an accepted offer. However, Su was able to find out some strange things on the property and advised me of the red flags and the potential dangers. Luckily that deal fell through and I found a better property a few months later. At the closing, I forgot my check book to pay for any differences or misc expenses. Su was happy to work with the other lawyers and title company to pay them for me. Now that's excellent service. During my process for the house closings, Su was able to provide her services and expertise on how to complete the deal even with unusual circumstances. I will definitely use Su and her company again for future real estate closing. read more

I hired Su to help me with the closing on my Queens apt. I had moved out of state and with covid, it was difficult for me to be to travel to NY. Su made the entire process so smooth for me. She was always on top of my closing, extremely organized, very professional and experienced. I knew that I was in good hands. I would highly recommend her to all my friends and family. read more

I signed up for Yelp just to leave a review about Su. Before finding Su, we were neck deep in real estate attorney hell. My partner and I had already found a place, made an offer and just needed to get into contract to start the process. Our original attorney was slow to respond and, at times, an all out flake. We decided to change our attorney because, as everyone knows, having good representation can make all the difference. SU WAS FANTASTIC. She was incredibly responsive, provided great insight and really looked out for our best interest. There was never a time that we felt out of the loop. She took time to walk us through documents or items that we didn't understand, and really put her foot down when we were leaning towards accepting things (not in our best interest) because we wanted to get the deal done. Su also kept me from having a complete meltdown on more than one occasion. She is the epitome of professionalism and is everything a real estate attorney should be. In future purchases, we will ONLY use Su. read more

We own two properties in Queens, NY, and we used Su as our real estate attorney for both of our home purchases (a co-op apartment and a house). Su is very knowledgeable and super proactive. For example, she would discuss any potential issues or obstacles with us before they actually happened. Su was always on top of everything and guiding us diligently throughout the whole process. We highly recommend Su to everyone who is looking to buy or sell homes. Thanks Su! read more

Su was our attorney for the sale of our co-op and the purchase of our home. Su continuously helped us with the obstacles we faced during the co-op sale and was there every step of the way. I had a lot of questions and she responded quickly via text/email/phone and I am using Su again for the sale of our current home. Thank you so much! read more

Attorney Su Lai was a phenomenal lawyer. To our surprise, the straight forward closing for my house turned into a roller coaster. Su was my rock during the whole process. She was professional in every way, gave honest opinions, and didn't let the other attorney take advantage of me. Su is exceedingly competent; she is worth every penny. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a real estate attorney. I am definitely using Su again for all my real estate adventures. read more

She's extremely deceptive and rude. Please do not trust her. She gets bad yelp reviews removed when they are extremely accurate. I had a similar experience with this woman and I basically wasted my money. Please find someone else to work with. Really ANYONE would be better than her. read more

I worked with Su recently for a condo in Queens. I'm a first time homebuyer, so I was pretty clueless from the start. I realized later how important it was to have a reliable, knowledgeable attorney, especially when the transaction isn't smooth sailing. Su is very responsive, efficient and sharp. We managed to close before my rate lock expired from my lender, and I give credit to Su for making sure I closed on time. read more

SuJeon Lee is outstanding. I retained her for the purchase of a small business. Unfortunately, the deal went horribly wrong, but that was more due to my own weakness as a virgin buyer of a small business, my ego, and my impulsiveness. There were red flags everywhere and SuJeon did point many of them out to me in hindsight. Lessons learned. I actually changed to SuJeon after initially hiring another counsel because: 1. SuJeon's price was better. I was receiving quotes all over the map. 2. She answered her phones and emails herself rather than ALWAYS having to go through an assistant. This is critical when you need inputs to help you make your decisions especially when time is of the essence. 3. I could call her occasionally after hours and on weekends when necessary and she was very courteous and helpful even out of hours. The final bill was reasonable. I plan to continue retaining her in the future and I have asked her to be very stern with me. If she feels, I should walk away from a deal, I will give her veto power to do so. This will take less pressure off me. In this deal, I felt she was a bit too courteous to me when I felt she could have provided more assertive / aggressive legal counsel. So to my fellow yelpers, if you retain SuJeon, let her know in advance how assertive you want her to be with you. Some clients are business gods and want their lawyers to only quietly provide legal counsel and stay in their corner. Whereas I'm a stubborn, former Marine. So, I want my legal counsel to tell me in all caps to walk away when necessary. I've told that to SuJeon and I plan to retain her excellent services for many years to come. read more

Su was amazing. I should have written this when she helped me out two years ago, better late than never. I left the country and was not able to be at the closing, Su took care of everything perfectly. She was and is an extremely professional Attorney. Five star!!! read more

I was referred to Su by my real estate agent (Exit Realty, amazing also!) and she by far exceeded my expectations. I have used Su on two closings (one as a seller, and one as a buyer) in the past 12 months. I know I can rely on Su for being very responsive and detail oriented. Su thinks outside the box for any issues for our particular situation that may arise. We didn't have to do any paperwork for our closings, she explained in detail everything we were signing and what to expect. Not only is she trustworthy and you can leave your closing to her, she is also very affordable, in my opinion! Thank you Su for everything and for being part of two big changes in my life! read more

Meant to give 5 stars!! Must've hit 4 by accident. Would give more if I could! Well deserved.

Su was referred to me by my real estate agent when I was selling my co-op apt. and I'm glad she was my attorney for this closing. During the closing, I noticed Su busy crunching the numbers and it turned out the buyers' attorney's numbers were off!!!! I believe the numbers were off by $5k+ and the buyers had to step out of the closing to get a bank check for the shortfall. Am I glad Su caught that!!!! Su was very responsive and knowledgeable and she saved me a lot of money! You can't go wrong with Su as your real estate attorney. read more

I found Su online made an appointment to meet with her. I needed some contracts and agreements done for a new business and needed some legal help. And we needed it done quickly. I also had investor and partnership agreements that I needed done but had no idea where to start. Su took me from A-Z and help me through the entire process smoothly and efficiently. I was referred to Su by a previous loan agent regarding a buyout. Su was not only very detail oriented and knowledgeable as a great lawyer, but she was very personable (easy to talk to), prompt in response, and helped pushed past many tight deadlines and boundaries. Sujeon is pleasant, responsive, well versed and results oriented. Also honest - she is very transparent in terms of fees which is quite refreshing. She is also quite gifted at breaking down and explaining different scenarios in an intuitive way. That was really refreshing as it helped me open up and ask even the simplest questions. At the end of my visit, she had effectively: debunked all the false advice I heard through hearsay; projected various scenarios I may find myself in within the next year of our business (this helped to forecast solutions to avoid potential problems in the near future); and made me laugh. read more

I met with Su to get a second opinion on purchasing a condo that was highly sponsor owned. I emailed her and she was very speedy in her response. Su lead the legal side of our home purchase and we're happy to have her on our side! She was meticulous with all document reviews and extremely responsive to all of our questions/needs. I always appreciate when people respond to emails, but Su was especially quick and succinct in answering questions and/or making requests. The best part of any home purchase is the day you sign documents and Su again was right there sitting with us to guide through each signature until we were shaking hands and accepting keys from the sellers. Su is a very knowledgable attorney that has guided us through the complicated process of buying our first condo. Our deal was pushed back multiple times due to sponsor timings but Su's always on top of the deal and worked with all the parties to make sure everything's well coordinated. IF YOU HAVE SU NEXT TO YOU, YOU ARE THE WINNER ! I've worked with numerous lawyers in buying and selling homes in the past... But I must say, for the first time, I felt lucky to have someone like Su next to me. I was truly impressed. She is super good with numbers. We were in a closing table for 5 hours because my bank's(Citizens Bank) numbers didn't match her number. She didn't give up to protect my $$$. She was able to convince 3-4 people in the bank/bank's attorney that their numbers were wrong and we finally were able to close that day! If it was another lawyer who is not as good as her in numbers, I think I could have end up paying several thousands of dollars more and/or would have not been able to close that day... She is smart and persuasive. She was able to hold 5 times the amount of the escrow money the seller suggested using reasonable arguments and calm voice. Everyone was just impressed with her in the closing table... including the seller's attorney. She was willing and able to explain complicated thing one by one in a way that I can easily understand... She doesn't speak fast or take long time to think/explain... it is just that the choice of words she uses is exactly the word I needed to hear to understand what was going on or what I was about to sign. And as many reviewers mentioned, she is really very responsive both on phone and email unlike other lawyers I worked with... I will recommend her to everyone I know ! read more

Su helped me with a refinance on a small commercial property in LIC that closed last month. I would use her again without hesitation. read more

LIFESAVER! This review is long overdue--my apologies SuJeon! The short of it is you should go with Lee Law Offices because they are professional, efficient/timely, and reliable. If you want to read further, this is my experience: Lee Law Offices came strongly recommended by a colleague. I had been trying to sell my wedding flower business for about two years and had gone through 4 business brokers. I had a fairly firm date on when we were going to open my next (current) business, which was only 3 months away. I was advertising the sale myself and found a buyer at the 11th hour. Sujeon was able to organize everything and everybody where we closed in 13 days! She drafted our contract, dealt with the landlord, the buyer's lawyer, as well as my ex-partner's lawyer. As expected with all of the parties involved, there were difficulties but each time she would address and iron out and/or negotiate to everyone's satisfaction. This was all juggled while protecting my interests. She was extremely responsive with every question and concern I had, communicating via phone, email, and text. Selling a business, at least for me, was a highly stressful process. SuJeon and her team gave me piece of mind, which was worth every penny. Her rate was very reasonable and I obviously see value in the end result. She's super nice and hospitable which I believe is important to acknowledge--the person behind the lawyer. I felt she was representing me at every turn and did it all flawlessly. Thank you Lee Law Offices! read more
