I won't go back. Visited a PA here after a hip injury that caused me pain with each and every…read morestep. Was sent to physical therapist at the same facility who did not know what he was doing. He sent me home with some printed exercises to do at home, and made the comment that I "might" have a labral tear, a very serious injury. The at-home exercises made my injury and pain worse, and when I reached back out to the PA to get some help and ask about the labral tear, it was a black hole. No one responded, not even after I placed half a dozen phone calls asking for some response. I even typed up and faxed a letter to the PA, but he never responded. Finally drove the 45 minutes to the office to request a copy of my PT referral in person, and found myself another PT (NOT at Northwestern). Thank god. I am getting some relief after 3 months of pain and nonsense at Northwestern. AVOID NORTHWESTERN GLEN ELLYN. Avoid their PTs and avoid their PAs. They don't care. They don't answer the phone. They do not care. They don't deserve your time.

If you believe stress is not good for your health, do not go here. The doctors here were great…read moreuntil Northwestern took over. Now almost every time we visit we receive erroneous charges. I have been billed for a physical when it is supposed to be no cost to me under my insurance. I was told that I was charged separately because the doctor asked me about chronic conditions that I did not bring up. He is not even the doctor overseeing many these conditions! I was told the fee would be waved, but of course it's not. My wife ran into a similar issue last year. She had only been disputing the erroneous charges for two weeks and a collection agency began harassing her! We have no problems paying our bills, but we will not pay when wrongfully charged. It is nearly impossible to get these erroneous charges waived. Northwestern just wants your money. They do not care about you or your health. Do yourself a favor, save the stress and go to a legitimate medical practice. My next step is to report this practice to the Illinois Attorney General and the Illinois State Medical Board.

I appreciated all the great reviews of Dr. Boyd and after weeks and weeks of trying to find a…read moredoctor I think I can trust, they helped me decide she was the doctor for me. So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

Dr. Boyd is AMAZING. She's warm, but professional. She takes her time with her patients, and it's…read moreobvious that she cares very deeply for those in her care. Truth be told, I prefer younger, female, Family Docs (as opposed to Internal Medicine) - just as personal preference - but she's absolutely lovely. Kind. Attentive. Concerned. All the things you want in a GP. Oh - and one last thing: At my previous practice, there would be a HUGE wait - I mean, HOURS. (But heaven forbid you be more than 10 minutes late...they would cancel your appointment.) Not so with Dr. Boyd. I never feel rushed, either. She's genuinely a good MD. Seriously.

After several poor experiences with my kids' pediatric practice, I looked elsewhere for care. Dr…read more Kenneth Lee came HIGHLY recommended, and it's obvious why: he's personable, responsive, takes parental choice into account, and cares about helping his patients. He and his staff have been accommodating to us since we transferred care this past summer. They worked with me to ensure both kids got in for their Well Visits, which meant I didn't have to bide my time with the former practice. He has helped address and problem solve a few ongoing medical concerns I've had with my oldest child. I'm finally being heard and we are finally seeing some results! He has also helped us with multiple referrals for services, which is also helping my eldest get the supports he needs. Because he's a family doc, Dr. Lee has seen the kids AND me, which is very convenient. The doc I had seen retired in early 2016 AND the practice is about 45 minutes away, so I went without for a while. Now we all just go to the same place. I do have to say that we have been a giant train wreck on several occasions, and Dr. Lee has been kind and humorous, never batting an eye. Like the time my toddler knocked 20 ounces of coffee in an exam room ("It smells like a coffee shop in here! It's refreshing!"), or had an epic tantrum in the waiting room. Like, I seriously think he's dreading appointments with us (I would!), and could be upping his screening process, but he's been soooo nice. I won't go into any more specifics, but want to say that I'm thrilled we switched. We now thankfully have a very supportive and responsive provider, and that makes me so relieved! Thank you, Dr. Lee and staff, for all that you've done for me and my family in such a short time!
