But after we drove one, we decided instead on a Chevy Terrain. We worked with Shakira Wery, who is pleasant, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the products. In the end, we didn't come to a meeting of the minds as they say. But if you're in the market for a Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac, you might find it worth your while to make the short drive up to Sheboygan.

I drive the vehicle into the service bay and the service tech says they charge '$40 to remove the nail and plug the tire' that's fairly new. I said that was shocking that they would charge a customer $40 to pull a nail out of a tire. He said talk to the service manager, he's here. The service manager at the desks confirms that they charge a whooping $40 to fix a nail in a tire. I said okay, that awfully pricey for 10 minutes of time and a 50 cent plug. I said its cheaper down the road. I sat down and started to call Brett Towing to check prices and the service manager see me calling and comes up to me and says "the tire repair with shop fees and taxes is $50 total" I said "that is absolutely outrageous' and that Sheboygan Auto just lost a customer". I told him I was going to back my car out of the shop and go down the road to Brett's Towing and Auto Repair. I ask Brett what he charges for tire repair, he said $39 with taxes. I had Brett repair it and saved $11. I also called Pomp's tire after the repair and they quoted $39.24 which was with taxes. Sheboygan Auto is ripping people off big time. I bought our 2025 Cadillac XT5 from them and we WILL NOT GO BACK there for any new cars and services. They don't care about their customers. All they want to do is rip them off with their services. Their oil changes are also extremely pricey compared to other Sheboygan auto service places that do the same oil change and vehicle inspection services. Beware.

They made me pay in full for a replacement key fob, with the key insert, then after holding my car for 9 hours (without any status call, I had to drive up to ask bc they wouldn't return calls or texts), said they didn't have the insert. They promised to send it by mail with a tracking number. They lied about that too. I now have to dispute my credit card to get reimbruses. I absolutely have to have the emergency key. Service was awful. There's no on-site manager. Very dysfunctional staff. I'm going back to Sommers even thoug it's 46 minutes away.

Our trusty little 2008 Honda Civic gave us 190,000 trouble free miles; but it was time to get…read moresomething new. We researched cars till we were blue in the face. We decided we wanted a Subaru Forester. My brother in law told us there was no way a dealership would let us take out a new car in this day and age. My wife called International Subaru to make an appointment for a test drive. At our arrival we were greeted by Sage, who had everything set up. You know that show House Hunters, well we felt kind of like that. We had first looked at another Civic, just for old times sake. It was affordable, but didn't quite have the features we were looking for. Our first test that day was a 2020 Forester. It was a very nice car. Pretty much everything we could hope for. Then we tried a 2021 Outback. Oh, my beating heart. This was it! Time to negotiate. My wife had the idea to fix up the dings on the Honda and sell it. Then came Joe, the manager to dicker. Got our trade in up another thousand dollars. That made fixing up our old car a moot point. Buying a new car is up there with going to the dentist to put one in a mood. But Sage was very nice and handled all our questions and concerns. We overspent our budget by 10%; but we got a really nice car. Did we need a moon roof, a 11.5 inch computer screen, navigation, and the other bells and whistles. No, we did not; but they're really really nice. My wife, who tends to anthromorphize inanimate objects got really sad leaving "Bossy" on the lot. But now she loves "XenaLucy" (I got to name my Sportster; but not the cars). Not too long after we got our new car, we got a call for a touch screen upgrade. The service guy had a problem with communicating with woman. But that's his problem. At 6,000 miles, we went in for our first oil change and tire rotation. This time the guy we dealt with was super nice. In and out in 20 minutes. I know shopping for a new car can be a pain in the you-know-what. But our experience at International was pleasant enough. We ended up with a very nice and super safe automobile that will go anywhere we want it to. Sweet!
