Gus Gus has to be one of our favorites!!…read more Burger - insane, I don't get how they get the cheese that melty, so so good. Beef tartare - would pass next time, it was a little salty for my liking. Shishito peppers - it's hard for me to not get these when they're on a menu and they were fun and delish. Tomatoes - they serve these with Chinese sausage and the combo was so good. Tuna crudo- the sauce/oil they have on the top of this makes it so good and the tuna tastes so fresh. Will get this every time. Jell-O shots - so fun, I love these, if you like Aperol spritzes, you have to get! Good "old fashioned" lover boy - an old fashioned with miso and a banana liqueur, the flavors just go together so well, we bought the banana liqueur the next week to try to recreate, one of the best I've had Kum on Eileen - bourbon drink with kumquat, this was one of the best drinks we've had in a while, cocktails did NOT disappoint. Overall, I totally recommend this place, will be coming back to try more things, and will always think of it!! The vibes are moody and comfy, and the service is amazing!

Tucked away in Saint Paul, Gus Gus is a hidden (maybe not for many) gem. There is street parking…read moreand outdoor seating available. They have it right on their website that parking can be tricky, be prepared to walk. The inside has bar seating and the restaurant may be small but is overall bigger than expected. It's elevated without giving people in jeans the side eye. We started with aperol flavored Jell-O shots. They were certainly Aperol flavored and probably the highest class Jell-O shot I've ever taken in my life. I had the spritz on special which was dill based and I was in love. I could have had 17 of them, been rolled home and been in absolute bliss. I also ordered the spritz salato and it was an equally as delicious savory cocktail. For dinner we shared the chips with speck (3.5/5). The chips were a little oily, but I'm a sucker for anything with prosciutto and crème fresh. I had the beef tartar as my main. The bread slices are pretty big. It comes with two pieces and regardless of if you are going to share or not I found myself having to cut the bread into smaller pieces. The chips worked out well as a vessel for the tartar too. Everyone else for the burger and after a singular bit I understood the hype. It has to be a top 5 burger ever. I'm still thinking about the burger and it wasn't even my entree. I'll certainly be back!
