Don't go here if you have a beard. They screwed up my face TWICE. There's a language barrier and they don't understand what you want and just wing it. Actually had an appointment at another place, but it was closed and I wasn't informed. Ledos was just a bit of a walk away and they were able to fit me into their schedule that day. I explained what I wanted and Sal went to work pretty quickly. He was very careful about getting exactly what I wanted. I was elated, with little instruction from me i really like what he did with the cut. Seemed like a very professional crew here, so I think I'll be back for my next haircut. read more

I recently visited LEDO after moving to the area and realizing I needed a new barber. I read some of the prior reviews and decided to give them a shot. I didn't make an appointment and decided to walk in during the lunch hour of a weekday and was able to be seen instantly! I gave the barber instructions on how I wanted my cut and he did it effortlessly and perfectly. The barber wasn't too chatty which was all right. I will also say this is a cash only spot and the ATM they've got inside didn't work when I was there. I'd advise grabbing at least $50 before coming here so you've got enough to cover the service and tip. Overall good spot in the HPS and surrounding area! read more

I've walked by this spot many times and been impressed by the look of the shop, but had never stopped because prices were higher than a few other places in LIC. However, prices have been going up at other shops to now equal this place, so figured I'd give them a try. I made an appointment with Sal and thought he did a good job. He followed my instructions and seemed to know what he was doing. Finished off with a hot towel and razor neck shave was a nice touch. $35+ tip is a little more than I'd typically like to pay for a cut, but he did a good job so I will probably be back. read more

Loved loved loved my haircut with Crystal. I stopped in today, a Tuesday, at about 4 pm. Crystal waited patiently in the window for a client and quickly got me situated and comfortable. She listened carefully to me and got started. Her shaving, blending, cutting, and texturing impressed me. The hot towel was all I needed to have a wonderful micro-sleep. All was done calmly and in a way that allowed me to relax and tune out for a mental nap from my crazy day. I know that if I'd wanted to talk, we would have had a conversation. She was also comfortable with silence. The final result was a business haircut I can also style for fun times during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. That's quite a result! All in all, I was delighted with my haircut and Crystal's experience and service. I will seek out her talented skills in the future, especially on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. Been looking for a place that is in between a barber and a hairdresser. $70 plus I left $20 for them bc I worked on tips. Beard hairline was uneven, didn't fade my beard into my head, high on the fade. I told her not to touch the top. Thought it would be $40-$50. But $70 is too much, plus it wasn't even good. Ledo Barbershop did not let me down! I have been going to the same barber for 30+ years but I could not make it to my hometown barber. So I entrusted Cesar with my hair and he did an excellent job! Quality: He asked me what I wanted and delivered. He gave me a great fade and broke out the scissors for the top so definitely versatile and skilled. He was thoughtful throughout the entire haircut and confirmed with me if the proper amount length was being cut. Lastly, the warm towel at the very end was a nice touch which I wasn't used to at previous barbershops. I had an all-around excellent experience at LEDO! I live in the neighborhood and was so happy when it opened because options are pretty much non-existent in the Hunters Point area. Fortunately, this barbershop has a lot of wonderful things going for it: 1. The owner, Ledo, is so welcoming and cuts great hair. From booking the appointment to the cut itself, Ledo was very down to earth and friendly. You get the vibe that he enjoys what he does and cares about the quality of the cuts. 2. The shop is very nice, it has all the best elements of a traditional barbershop with some upgrades. It's nicely decorated, has a good vibe, is clean and located around the corner from the 7 train. *I've been to other shops in LIC/Astoria and they definitely don't feel as welcoming as this one. 3. The price is surprisingly affordable. The same haircut would cost $20 more at other barbers in Manhattan and Williamsburg. Altogether, LEDO did not disappoint. I used to get my hair cut by Anthony who's a craftsman at what he does and made sure I left looking my best every single time. The products that they use are quality, just like the razors and trimmers. The shop is a welcoming environment that's always clean and smelling great.
