Wow, a taste of home here in Clarksville! I grew up with a grandmother who frequented STL German…read moreand Austrian bakeries, and this reminded me of my childhood. Cheese danishes, croissants, and the streusel were all amazing. The coffee was pretty good too (the gingerbread latte was cute!). The service was friendly, and although not quick - we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't an issue. It did take about twenty minutes but there is an antique shop right next door I strolled while my husband waited! ;) Definitely worth a stop in!

Super nice staff will attend to your culinary desires. Bring cash if you want to avoid the slight surcharge for use of credit card. Delicious sandwiches, German breakfast plates, and even pizza are on the menu, too! The pastries, danishes, and more are delicious, light, and varied. They even have gluten free options! I love trying something different with a hot cup of Earl Grey tea each time I come. Prices aren't too bad either. We come back fairly regularly and will continue to. They even have a separate enclosed dining area that can be reserved for events. They are kid-friendly as well with a kid playing area! Love this place and sure you will, too!!

So glad I made it to the shop before they closed today! It's always clean inside. The colors are…read morecalming yet colorful and happy. May was welcoming and friendly. She was knowledgeable about new (seasonal) flavors coming out (again) like the key lime and the lemon raspberry- both of which are my favs! I stopped by within a half hour before closing time. Nobody was in there. After checking out, there was a line. About four more customers had walked in after me and I was too busy talking away to notice. Oops! Today, I just got the Red Velvet - a classic favorite in my house. And, I got the Upside Pineapple because I wanted to try something new. May mentioned that the Key Lime comes out tomorrow! Oh no. My thought was "I'll be back." Imagine that said in a terrible Arnold Schwarzenegger impression. (I dare not to say it out loud. Haha.) BTW, did you know they also pop up at special events? Yesterday, I got the Cookies & Cream (for my little guy) at a Touch A Truck event held in the plaza where the public library is located. Perfect for dessert to take home afterwards... only half made it home. It was deliciously moist and had a good amount of actual cookie pieces in it! Yum! Add that to the growing list of favorites ... including any kind with chocolate, of course!

Their strawberries and cream flavor. Chefs kiss* they do get busy and their line is sometimes out the door but their service is quick and very professional. I've always had great service whenever I come. Their shop is not too big but not too small. It's clean and they have some really cute party decorations for sale also.

I purchased a cake for my baby's adoption party. I did my research and found the perfect cake for…read moreour theme of the party. I brought in the picture of the cake I wanted with me to the initial consultation. Caroline assured me that she/the shop would be able to adhere to the design of the cake. The day of the adoption I was too busy to pick up the finished cake so my friend picked it up for me. As soon as I saw the cake I was upset. It was nothing we discussed. The colors were not the same, the design, and the butterflies had a horrible quality to them. I immediately called The Mixing Bowl and Caroline answered. As soon as I identified myself she hung up on me! I served the cake at the party and it tasted mediocre, like a cake I got at Walmart could've tasted better. So in the end it was horrible customer service, terrible cake decorating, and disappointing taste. You'd be better off going anywhere else for any kind of cake, let alone a cake for any memorable event. Rhonda Kelly

I'm a sugar addict and love cupcakes so believe me when I say I really wanted to like it. I was able to choke down 1/4 of it but the no taste won out. I threw the rest away. That is soooo not like me. So I don't think I'll return.
