Contacted Larry for a Samsung dryer making weird noises at a property in Loveland. Sounded like the…read moredrum was out of alignment or something. He called back and asked for the year, make and model and we very briefly discussed the sounds that I was hearing. He gave me a quick pre-diagnosis based on that information, along with his (reasonable) service call fee plus an estimate for the work if it were to be the problem that he believed it to be. While the scheduling was a bit loose, he did get to the property within 48 hours. He diagnosed and verified that it was the problem that he had suspected, and having anticipated that, he had the part that was needed on hand. He gave a very reasonable estimate. I said, go ahead and in under an hour he had taken the drum out, replaced the part, tested the unit and explained what to expect for it and the washer over the next few years in terms of maintenance and issues that he commonly saw with them. And he also helped properly balance the washing machine, when he noticed that it seemed slightly off kilter. That was something I had not noticed and didn't ask him to do. He basically just did that in five minutes for no extra charge. Larry's experience and knowledge as a service professional is unmatched in this area based on my many years of experience with various providers. While scheduling may not be the strongest point here, and frankly it rarely is for any service provider - if you are somewhat flexible then you'll enjoy Larry's straight-shooting, top-notch service and extremely reasonable rates and very efficient expert repair. As well you get someone who goes above and beyond, including sharing his insight on what to expect in the near term for your home appliances. We had an extremely disappointing experience with Alfonso and Alma Appliance Repair. My husband's…read morecompany had used him for some installation work on one of their projects so when we suddenly had a washing machine flood and a stove issue happen at our home all at once we decided to contact him for repairs. He was quick to answer my call and to come over to look at and diagnose the appliances which we were grateful for. We ultimately decided to replace the washing machine, but we hired him to repair the stove. That is when the experience started to go south. We paid him a deposit for parts and scheduled him to come over for install a little while later when he said they had arrived. We told him I had a small window of time on my break from lunch for him to come install the new parts and he assured us that that would work fine. He was about 35 mins late for our scheduled time leaving about 10 minutes until I had to leave to go back to work. He quickly installed the parts and then asked me to test it...I clearly did not have time to do that at that moment, so he said he offered a 90 day guarantee on all parts and labor. So I said great, we will test it later today and let you know if we have any issues. He sent an invoice for another couple hundred dollars for the labor which we promptly paid. Then, over the next couple of days we realized pretty quickly that the stove was still having issues and was not functioning properly despite the parts or whatever he did. So my husband reached back out to Alfonso to have him come back over and honor his guarantee and he completely ghosted us for a matter of weeks. My husband texted and called him repeatedly to try and remedy the situation and he flat out just didn't respond. After awhile I tried with my phone instead. He finally responded to me so we set up a time for him to come over however he never confirmed the time and the day passed and he finally texted me saying he wasn't going to make it over and wanted to reschedule to the next day so I said okay. He never showed up, no call no text. So I sent him another message expressing my frustration that I had now wasted 2 days waiting around for him to come by. He "apologized for the inconvenience" and said he could come by the next morning. The next morning 15 minutes before he was supposed to come he texted that he couldn't make it. He said he could reschedule yet again or he could process a reimbursement so I asked him to please process the reimbursement because after weeks of terrible communication, missed appointments, and still a non- functional stove we were more than ready to move on. He never processed the reimbursement and I messaged him several times asking for it so that we could at least regain some of the money we paid him to put toward hiring another technician. He never even bothered to respond. We certainly never plan on hiring him again but I hope sharing this saves someone else the frustration and money of working with him because after the fact I read several similar stories and I wish I had done so prior to giving him our business or our money. He does not care about doing good business, once he has your money he couldn't care less.
