Sifting isn't actually too bad at this TK Maxx as the staff keep the rails in pretty good order. Belfast now has plenty of fashion outlets but it doesn't have much similar to TK Maxx. This store is huge and set over 3 floors. It has a woman's section, kids section, men's section and even a dedicated jewelry counter. My advice would be that if you are looking for something specific then come to TK Maxx and see if they have it in store, you could save yourself a few quid.

I have also been to visit Debenhams a few times recently as they seem to have the best euro rate at the moment. No prizes for guessing why that is... Lulu Blu is not my kinda shop, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. The clothes are electic, quirky and, well, interesting. Not the kind of thing I could carry off whatsoever. That, however, is not to its detriment, and these kinds of clothes shop are growing ever popular. You never know, maybe one day I'll deck that flowery coat with the colourful, yet random, buttons. Well, maybe not. With distinctive garments from the likes of Desigual and Custo, you know you'll be dishing out the dosh, but these designs are certainly unique. Plus, there's a fab sale on at the moment, up to 70% off! One final comment, this time on the customer service. The sales assistant was happily conversing with a customer (who was really into the clothes, might I add), when she noticed my sister and I making for the door, empty handed. She abruptly stopped mid convo with this other enthused customer, and dashed towards us, asking "Are you girls ok there?". Bless her cotton socks. Four stars for the lovely sales assistant alone.

They have a sale on so I wanted to look and see if I could pick up some bargain jeans - as it turns out the sizes in jeans are all very small - something to do with the designer brand names. They sell a big range of Desigual clothing - mostly coats, skirts and tops - this is a brand I have never liked and actually find hard to wear. My friend got her now ex boyfriend to buy her one for a few hundred pounds and while it is nice on her retro body i would just look like I was trying to hard. The mismatch of colours and designs is not my thing at all and the price tag is phenomenal - £300+ for a coat! I've been to a shop in Italy stocking this brand for way way cheaper but I still didn't buy anything. Go buy something if you want something different looking and expensive. The staff are nice but the sale wasn't great and the sizes are smaller and the clothes are too expensive. Not for me.

Fat Face is a great shop for all manner of funky looking clothes (in a cool way) I've found anything I've bought from here will last you forever! It's all really durable and good quality clothing. Not only that but the clothes are lovely. They sell both a mens and womens clothing range plus they have a great kids section. They also sell jewellery, watches, luggage, sunglasses and other accessories. If you manage to make one of their sales you'll find great discounts here over a range of their fabulous stock.

Lots of brightly coloured shorts with a multitude of gaudy yet attractive things emblazoned across them. They also have a great range of baseball caps and numerous other super-chic hats and regalia. Prices are a little bit steep but nothing too excessive, nothing approaching some of the ridiculously priced designer gear on offer throughout the city.

The ground floor hosts ladies and kids clothing, accessories and footwear as well as toys and books. Upstairs is home to mens clothing and accessories, luggage and an excellent homeware department. I always find this store to be tidy and the staff are very helpful. There are loads of tills and a returns area so the checkout process is pretty fast. If you are a fan of a rummage check this branch out.

I confess that my feet gave out, so I went back to our hotel. 40 minutes later, my husband sent an SOS--"we might be in trouble-- please come here." Dutifully, I put on my shoes, trotted to North and saw the trouble was potential bankruptcy. Because everything in the store is top notch and well worth its asking price. My purpose there was to rein in purchases. Instead I saw a gorgeous claret colored tweed overcoat, pulled it out, and wouldn't you know it fit my son in the shoulders perfectly. The fellow in the shop when we were there -- Turbo --was amazing. Honestly--just keep prodding him to learn more about how the store is stocked and the garments are made. He and his partner buy lovely hats, belts, luggage, and they design gorgeous shirts, waistcoats, jackets, suits, and overcoats. He even showed us a photo of the master weaver who creates their tweed. Now you are thinking that you can't possibly afford anything here. In fact, we found the prices remarkably fair. I have paid more money for lesser quality garments. My only regret is that we didn't have more time in Belfast -- and of course that I didn't think until they were closed to ask about how to purchase and tailor a coat to fit me. Needless to say, we will be watching their website, and next time we are in Belfast, this remarkable shop will be our first stop.

The repairs were carried out promptly both times while I waited and a good job was made of the heels which had been worn down to the main part of the heel underneath the rubber part or whatever it should be called - anyway they were pretty far gone and I'm quite sure you shouldn't wait that long! With that satisfactorily accomplished I returned another time with other shoes and the repair was just as good, again costing about £5.00, but I haven't had the opportunity to test a more complicated cobbling requirement such as getting a zip mended or heel lowered.

Fast efficient friendly service at its very best…read more Dropped a jacket off here to have a zip fixed and was pleasantly surprised that it would be ready the same day which was a surprise as it looked quite busy on the day I dropped in. Extremely happy with the repair job and the price was really reasonable too. This gem of a repair store is located on Lisburn Road just a short stroll past the Tesco walking away from the city.
