During a 12 day trip, we received pictures and updates from each visit (2x/day). Our anxious boy came out (picture proof!!) by the third visit, and was eating at each visit, which we consider a miracle. When we came home, we noticed he didn't have ANY nervous scratching. Another miracle :) We will be using them for all of our cat sitting needs moving forward - we're so glad we found them. They made sure all 4 of our cats continued to have a calm, clean, and safe environment while we were gone. It's important to us to be able to have the dogs stay at home when we're away so having someone come to the house is absolutely incredible. Lauren and her staff have always been great with our dogs and even when something hasn't 'gone well' (let's just say intestinal distress) they've been great about cleaning up and contacting us. It's also great that since they come to our house instead of boarding the dogs we kind of get a built in house sitter too-not that there's any reason to break in (besides, the dogs would love a chance to sic balls). If you're tired of boarding your dogs and live in the Morris County area I wholeheartedly recommend Canine Concierge. Your pets will be well cared for and won't be so stressed when you come home. We've tried several trainers and boarding facilities in various cities and states. We even resorted to trying a famous YouTube trainer and he came back worse and even more anxious. Typically, these expensive "board and trains" we've participated in have ended with medication recommendations and a "good luck". One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope. I highly recommend that you give Mind Of Dog a shot, especially if you're in a similar position as we were. Thanks, Mind of Dog! Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. If you are looking for a no BS, honest, caring trainer/behaviorist, and you are willing to trust someone, and put in the time and work, look no further - he is definitely your guy. We cannot recommend him enough.
