The kennels have cots for the dogs to sleep on, so they aren't on a cold floor. They can also bring a toy from home if they would like. I don't think they allow blankets, due to soiling and such. They have a cute playground set up for the doggos with slides and play ground equipment (dog safe, of course). They also offer grooming. Our German shepherd has had plenty of spa days there. She also goes to daycare at least once a month. Whether we are on vacation or just sending her for a play day, she always rushes to the door to go inside. That tells me she loves it there. I've taken her to other daycares that she didn't even want to get out of the car, which is not like her. The staff are so sweet and take the time to get to know all of the pups there. They also let us know how Jaci did and who her buddies are when she stays. The pricing is very fair and affordable. Definitely recommend!!

Daycare participants are screened for temperament and health concerns before being admitted to daycare so this gives me peace of mind. Also, have boarded my labs here and the care taken is extraordinary. Appreciate that they have indoor/outdoor kennels available that allow dogs to go outside. Kennels are kept spotless and plenty of water is always available. Staff does an excellent job of attending to dogs' needs and following feeding regimen that owner requests. Bathing and grooming is well done and dogs were returned smelling like a spa day. Also have had training in doggie manners and good citizenship with top notch trainers. Our labs love it here and have been regulars for over two years with no problems or concerns.

Despite our different attempts to get him healthy and to properly train him in all the most basic of dog skills, it was quite evident that we needed to reach out to caring professionals who could help all of us. Ultimately, this meant temporarily placing him in a situation which would help us help him return to the healthy little 8-week puppy we loved with all our hearts. My wife and I, and of course, Max, needed a fresh start to get back on the path toward a healthy lifestyle. I researched the issue and found out about a viable solution, Dancing Creek Farm, a long-term boarding and training located outside of Danville, Virginia. So, we made the difficult decision to hand over the responsibilities of Max's health and general well-being to Tamara and Dakota and the rest of the Dancing Creek team to provide Max the means of not only shedding his unhealthy weight, but also to go back to the drawing board to relearn how to follow commands and improve his self-control and discipline. I did the communicating with Dancing Creek throughout Max's stay and saw that Dancing Creek was not just a viable solution, but a godsend for Max. I could see that Tamara and Dakota understood dogs and how to give them the help they needed, whatever that might be. In the four months that Max was at Dancing Creek, the wonderful team of Tamara and Dakota, the owners of Dancing Creek Farm, and their staff, helped Max lose thirty-two pounds and trained him to improve his discipline and self-control. They crafted a diet and exercise plan unique to Max, which surely couldn't have been easy when caring for eighty other dogs. It turned his life around. He's never been happier. We've been back home with Max for a week and see a more confident, better-trained dog who has a new lease on life. This is making a huge difference, not just in Max's life, but in the functioning of our family. We've gotten to know Tamara and Dakota through Max's journey. We really respect their dedication to the animals and the hard work they put into to the health and well-being of the dogs at Dancing Creek. Tamara and Dakota and Team really care about this work. That really matters. In fact, it makes all the difference. Because of our gratitude, we will certainly be keeping track of all the other dogs at Dancing Creek. In addition, we want to thank the Dancing Creek community. They rallied around Max during his journey and supported him and us. We are so appreciative of the love they showed Max. (I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the Facebook, IG videos and photos that chronicled Max's journey.) We are also so excited for Dancing Creek, as they plan to spread their love for dogs with a non-profit for dogs who are of an advanced age. In conclusion, from Tamara and Dakota to the staff who worked so hard, we can never repay what you given Max and our family. It goes without saying that not all aspects of working with dogs is glamorous,as any pet owner knows. The DCF Team has shown that the work they do in this rural southern Virginia community is more to them than work. It's a calling to serve. This calling serves both the dogs and their owners. We thank you and salute you all#Namaste

I cannot recommend this facility more! There are very few long-term boarding facilities available…read morein the US and im sure even fewer that are as amazing as Dancing Creek Farms. The cabins are not only heated and cooled but incredibly spacious. The grounds are extremely well taken care of and provide ample running space for pups during their outings. And the people who work here are so incredibly caring. I feel thankful every day that we have found this amazing space. My moms dogs have been here since around May of 2025 and they are so loved and taken care of, it helps ease our hearts knowing how well they are being treated at Dancing Creek Farm. If you need a long or short term boarding, this is absolutely the best place to go.

Clem is half blind & deaf, though this isn't the reason we initially contacted Courtney. At the time, we had adopted a beautiful boxer-pit mix, Juniper, to have as Clementine's companion. We adopted her from the Washington County animal shelter, and she was in bad condition, having 6-10 months of trauma in the first part of her life (we think she was bait in dog fights). She had to have emergency surgery, and after a few months, we decided we needed some professional help due to Juniper's reactivity with Clementine. With Courtney's guidance, we learned that our 2 dogs do not speak the same language. Courtney was initially willing to help us and our dogs learn and respect one another's languages. Over time, though, Juniper ended up attacking Clementine, and Courtney was with us every step of the way. She truly cares about the people and animals she works with. She immediately came up with a plan so we could figure out re-homing Juniper while keeping the two dogs separated in our home. She even searched for foster homes with us, and worked with the foster parent Juniper lived with for about a month until we found her forever home. Courtney is the best dog trainer I have ever met. Her compassion goes above and beyond, and her expertise is so valuable. I learn something new at every session! When I refer to her in conversation, I call her our "Dog Therapist", because she truly is. She can sense things about our dog that we don't even sense, in the smallest amount of time. If you're on the fence about hiring or consulting with Courtney, jump off and call her immediately! ‍‍
