Creative Child was recommended to me by a friend from church. She knows the director personally, because the director teaches Sunday school/religion classes to her child. When I first arrived, I was welcomed to take a tour of the center. The director was friendly and answered all of my questions. She reassured me and made me feel at ease. My 3 year old has been going there for 3 months. I couldn't be happier. The staff is wonderful and the director cares for the children there as if they were her own. My child did have a few issues adjusting and lashed out at her teacher, but we all met and figured out the best way to handle it. The director (and teacher) were very understanding and offered worked with us to resolve the issue. I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with my child. I'm so glad for Creative Child!

Unless you have a very mild mannered 2-5 year old, who never acts out or misbehaves, I would not recommend this place. I wanted to pull her out for months but instead, kept working with them on things so I didn't have to add anymore changes to my daughter's life. Well, let's just say I wish I would've pulled her much sooner. The director also spoke to me as if I were a child, spoke to me poorly about my child and then behaved like a child once I gave my 2 week notice. Positive thing is most of the actual teachers are caring and have good programs for the children throughout the day.

I have enjoyed taking many classes at FVTC as a non-traditional student. My latest experience has…read moreleft me a little unsettled. Buyer Beware! I just enrolled in a non-credited class on-line. In order to make a credit card payment I was directed to "PayPass" which I assumed was the same as "PayPal". Much to my surprise I was charged a $3 service fee. I called FVTC to ask for a refund of the fee and I would pay by check or another way using my credit card. The customer service person said it was too late. This is a fee that goes directly to the PayPass company as a way to pay for the credit card processing services. FVTC does not incur any credit card processing charges. Am I wrong...is this actually an added cost to take a class. Instead why not be honest and add the cost to the registration fee. Full disclosure of the actual fee's charged to take a class at FVTC. I feel bad for the students who have limited funds and you are charging them additionally to pay by credit card. Instead include the cost of paying by credit card as a higher registration fee and charge less for those paying by cash or check. This lets the students decide which is the most affordable way to pay. Pam

I've walked in on her down for a nap on a dirty cot( o was told it rained the day b4) no excuse for that! When I got my daughter home she had wood chips in her pamper (at home she's fully potty trained) They refuse to take her to the pot! Her clothes were being changed 3-4 times out the week because they said she was peeing out her pamper! They don't wipe runny noses. Even took photos of my daughter knowing I didn't want photos taken even worse didn't clean her face for the photos. My heart hurts for my children because I trusted them to care. Now I get the cold shoulder when I come get my children which makes it very awkward, but that's very unprofessional. I thought they would use my concerns as a coaching to improve care not make it difficult and force my family out. OAN if your looking for incident reports to know when your child hurt themselves you won't get that either! Good thing my son can talk I picked him up from care with busted lips and a scratched eye and had to ask my son what happens then the teacher will verbally explain

We are debating putting him into a local private academy for high school and FPE. Even so, he still wants to take one class with FPE if he were to go to the local academy. He likes it that much. He's made friends at FPE. He's gotten to know the teachers. I feel like the staff give me personal attention. It's like any other school. Academically is very challenging. He was reading Peter Schiff in the seventh grade! He was so thoroughly educated. I hate to leave this school and go to a local private academy. I love the staff, the teachers and the academics. My son wants to be involved in a school that has a hockey team, jazz band, chess club, etc. I understand that. This is a great school for people that want to home school that have lots of kids in the church or lots of siblings. We don't have either.

The teachers' love for EVERY student is so evident and heart-warming. No favorites, just love for all. The school remained open for in-person schooling even during the pandemic. They employed extensive, expensive, tireless safety measures -- because they love everyone. Teachers and staff volunteered countless extra hours to keep families safe while offering in-person classes -- something essential for education! Bottom line: Your child's education is WAY too important to entrust to an internet opinion poll. Schedule an in-person visit today and talk to the principal and staff so you can make your own decision. It's just an hour of your life -- a small investment to make a super important decision for you child!

If your child isn't "popular", they won't be treated the same as the "it" kids by their teachers…read more It's evident which students the teachers favor and in a school where they practically shout "practice what you're preached", they're exponentially hypocritical. Parents, if your child isn't a favorite, you can expect to be looked down upon as well. If your child has a question about something they were taught (and they're aren't already afraid to ask a question through no fault of their own) there's a good chance they'll be yelled at. Everyone learns differently; there's more than one way to explain a concept. My child shouldn't be penalized and criticized and feel stupid for asking a question because they learn/understand differently. I shouldn't have to repeatedly explain a lesson or go over a concept because my child's teacher doesn't effectively explain it. My child may not understand something right away and that's fine, but when I have to go over lessons every school night until they understand it, it's not my child. There's a tremendously unnecessary emphasis on sports. Plain and simple. Plus, there's a coach that swears in front of the players. It's grade school, not the world championship. They don't do anything about bullying. My child had an unfortunate experience with some kids and they always say you should tell a teacher... If you want nothing done, tell a teacher. The issue was never resolved and the bullying continued for months. If there's an issue with a teacher specifically, it's hard to voice your concern seeing as there's a lot of husband/wife teachers. That's why, for example, the principal's wife gets away with being a bad educator. If you want your child to be miserable and be surrounded by liars, hypocrites, and kids who are more fake than processed food, send them here. The best decision I made was taking my child out of there. I know many parents who feel the same way; it's a toxic place. After seeing my child dramatically improve intellectually and actually learn something, they were excited about school. They became more confident in their abilities and made great friends. They felt comfortable asking for help and they were shown what they did wrong instead of basically being told they're dumb. For the sake of your child's mental and spiritual health, please do your research and find a school that's worth your money.
