Our recent experience was that the staff are simply unmotivated and unwilling to work with kids who wiggle, move and may be a little bit more immature than others. And when approached about concerns or suggestions to utilize strategies that work at home, the staff and administration are defensive and think it appropriate to blame the children for behaviors that so obviously stem from inadequate classroom and playground management. If you've got an active, highly inquisitive or precocious child that needs caring for, you need to find a place with kinder, more experienced and more motivated instructors as well as a more knowledgeable administration. This is not CLP. Your child will not get adequate or fair treatment. And it could affect their self-esteem much like it has our son. At CLP your child will simply be labeled by staff and administration as lacking empathy or "not being a good kid." They take no responsibility for their shortcomings. It is also our experience that the place has a high staff turnover. In the 6 months we were at this place, our classroom went through 4 different classroom instructors AND the Associate Director quit (the one that actually had a background in Early Childhood Education). However, as an early childhood educator with a Bachelor of Science degree in birth- 8 years, this review, is worth reading if you care about your children and what goes on when you leave them in someone else's care. Do your research and know who you are dealing with and what the main goals of the institution are. Know what background the owner has and her true motives and disposition. Creative Learning, to my experience, has been Completely Unprofessional. I sent my newborn there and his bottles were often lost and if they were sent back they belonged to someone else's child with breastmilk of that mother. Call you to leave work to pick up your child every time there is an outbreak of possible fever or anything from another child - if yours has a minor rash, cough, temperature, or spits-up - expect their staff to be relieved of your child by having you miss work to rush to get them. My oldest son went there for after care. His father and I co-parent. I explained that we often do not get the same invoices - therefore when I would go in to pick my children up, I would ask for any balances and charges I may not know about. I was told on 3 different occasions when asking for invoices - with my checkbook in hand - that "no one was available to assist me at that time". Weeks later, my son's father has a mark on his credit in excess of $900, a large portion of which was "collection fees" they applied and assessed after refusing to give me invoices and allowing me to pay whatever these unknown charges were, in person. Money-making goal. They will not allow you to bring your own diapers for your newborns, because they want to charge you $35 extra a month to make money on that end, too. As for the older children left in after-care, expect to find them sitting alone in a corner when you go to pick them up. Do your research, parents. ... Then called me at 3pm telling me that he had behavior issues multiple times throughout the day and he was going to have to be dismissed from the school and could not return. I paid a $325 registration fee to hold his spot and entrusted these people to care for my child and they couldn't handle it. They did not want to deal with him and kicked him out on DAY ONE. They also did not notify me after the first incident to ask how to best manage him or anything. They waited until the day was almost over to tell me he was not allowed back after I had resigned from his previous daycare and left me in a bind. HORRIBLE daycare, do not even waste your time. They obviously don't understand children are people too and need time to adjust to new surroundings and need redirection. I'm thankful they showed us their true colors on day one! A blessing in disguise and I pray to God the children that are there are properly cared for and safe.

When I arrived I rang the doorbell and was greeted by a woman named Liz. She held the door open without allowing me in even after I said I was there for a tour. When I mentioned taking a tour she sighed in complete frustration that I was there. She said that she didn't have time to give me a tour because they were short staffed. She was far from accommodating. When I mentioned I was told to come after 1 she again sighed in frustration. Now keep in mind she still never invited me in. When she finally did her whole demeanor was that I had inconvenienced her to the max. She asked me to schedule a tour which I did for the following Monday at 9:30am. I still can't figure out why I scheduled that tour. I think I was just in shock with her lack of compassion and customer service. I will not be going to that appointment and I would never consider Creative Minds in the future for childcare. If that is how that employee would treat me I can't imagine how my newborn would be treated if she inconvenienced them by crying too much. The way she treated me made me feel so bad I instantly started crying when I got in my car. I am just trying to do the best that I can do for my daughter and support from places like this are crucial. The lack of support and compassion from this creative minds employee is unfortunate. I really pray they treat those children better than I was treated.

He had a pretty good week for 3 weeks, then threw a tantrum. I was called to pick him up, and told he was no longer welcome. The director actually captured a video of the tantrum. Screaming sobbing 4 year old, and a pack of old ladies standing around looking at him like he was a broken lawn mower. No consolation, no attempt to communicate. Just standing around with one of them taking a phone video. The director insisted that my child needed to be medicated for his "biological behavioral condition." He's in an actual kindergarten now and doing just fine. No meds, just needed a little guidance. They certainly kept my registration fee, even though we only went for 3 weeks.
