Without a doubt, LI Regents Prep is the best test prep and tutoring service around!…read more LI Regents Prep clearly helped build our son's content knowledge and test taking skills, which I'm certain resulted in his outstanding results. At the core of it, they helped him build confidence, which absolutely paid dividends when it came time to take the exams; exams which can be very stressful for our children. I would highly recommend LI Regents Prep for your school age children, even those with outstanding grades today. Worth every penny!

I'm so glad I found Erfun. After going through another tutor I found on Yelp, doing all the…read morehomework assignments and all the practice tests, I still couldn't hit my target of 163 in Quant. It was extremely frustrating, especially because I majored in Physics and always considered myself a math person! But Erfun soon showed me that my issue wasn't my math knowledge, per se, but how I was thinking about the questions. Erfun has an incredible understanding of the skills the GRE tests, the different approaches for looking at questions, and the traps and shortcuts you should pay attention to. On top of all that, he's EXTREMELY organized. He assigned day-by-day homework, provided screenshots of important questions and their notes, and was always prepared for whatever we were covering at the session. And, on top of all that, he's just a really nice guy :) A couple things to point out: 1) He's pricier than the other tutors out there, but you get what you pay for. He has a perfect score, over a decade of experience doing this full-time, and he wrote a 500+ page book for McGraw Hill! In my mind, the extra money was worth the time he saved me in studying for this damn test! 2) We did a lot of our tutoring online, and I was shocked at the effectiveness of these sessions. So, if you have a busy job like me, online tutoring might make sense. Oh, and after 10 hours of tutoring, my score improved from Q156 to Q164 :) I'm applying to MBA programs for round 1 and couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.

Tdlr Average tutoring service at a high price. I went to…read morethe shsat prep program and got into stuyvesant. Despite this, I still believe that Merica and Mega are only average and that you can find the same information for much cheaper. Merica copies their packets from books and online sources. You can prove this by taking an hw passage and searching the article or questions. They don't only copy questions, but also copy outdated questions, from close to 20 years ago. You can get test prep from Barron's, Princeton Review, etc for far cheaper. However one of the disadvantages with self learning is that you'll have no one to ask if you don't understand a concept or question. With merica they have experienced teachers that have been teaching for decades at top high school and colleges.

I agree with and second reviewer John L.'s comments. This place is good for lazy people like myself…read morewho need the classroom experience to learn. None of their materials are original, and their teachers aren't spectacular, but they do work on the number 1 key to success on these tests: repetition. So in sum, if you are a self-starter, and are motivated enough at that age, you can probably skip this course. If you need to pick between this place and Kaplan/PR, go with this place --- they are a bunch of really smart Asians who get kids first into Hunter, then Stuyvesant, then Harvard, then Johns Hopkins Med School. These guys have their standardized testing methods down.

After only 3 months enrolled in the program my daughter had moved from below grade level to slightly above. And it was noticeable on her homework assignments. Granted the work is getting harder so my child isn't going to be flourishing as quickly as before but I do see that they take their time with her and focus on her trouble spots until she's comfortable to move on. Kumon takes dedication on both the parent and the child and if you're not committed I don't recommend this program for you. There's going to a lot of checking up on the work, vacations where you have to take the work with you because its year round learning. I've definitely seen the progress in my child with the program and I've seen the difference in the approach with this center. The Director is real nice and know his stuff - he used to be a math teacher and I've seen him a few times during class hours and he's very attentive with everyone. If you're looking for your child to excel both in their work and independently then this definitely the right program and location for you.

I worked with Seth at TestCrackers for three months through their one-on-one tutoring package, and…read morethe results speak for themselves: a 90-point increase in my GMAT score leading to a 685+ score. From day one, Seth brought deep expertise, structure, and focus to every session. He quickly diagnosed the root causes of my performance gaps and built a tailored study plan using TestCrackers' proprietary materials, which are some of the most thoughtfully designed GMAT prep resources I've seen. In addition to the one-on-one sessions, I received access to a full suite of book resources, drills, and practice tools that reinforced the concepts we covered and helped me build confidence through repetition and strategy. What stood out most was the customized approach. Seth didn't rely on generic test prep methods. He honed in on exactly what I needed to improve, broke down complex topics into digestible frameworks, and taught me how to think like the test maker. His feedback was always clear, targeted, and immediately useful. He also knew how to keep me motivated and accountable throughout the process, adjusting the pace when needed but never letting me lose sight of the goal. Thanks to Seth's guidance, I walked into test day not just hoping I'd score well, but knowing I was fully prepared. I can't recommend Seth or TestCrackers enough for anyone who wants a serious, strategic edge on the GMAT and a tutor who's truly invested in your success!!
