I transferred my son from Learning Paths to England Run Minnieland. He has been going for a few months now. The new director, Mrs. Tireesha has been very helpful and easy to communicate with. I had a meeting with her about sons' behavior and progress, just the way that her main focus was helping me understand potential reasons of reactions and how we can we redirect him or continue to seek other resources instead of focusing on his behavior. I would like to inform you that I will be formally writing a review with the BBB, Yelp and The board of this organization. The 2 months my son was there, i was HIGHLY disappointment in this establishment. My son was sick 3 times while in the care of you all. I kept trying to figure out why, only to discover the reason behind it. I watched your teachers change diapers and use the tablet right after, to document it. No big deal right? Well that tablet she touched, she used the same hands she just changed a dirty diaper with!! The same hands she uses to pick up kids and the same hands she makes food with. That's honestly DISGUSTING!! You know what else is gross? People kiss kids that aren't their! DON'T FIX to put your lips on a kid that inst yours. What if I kissed your child? You have no idea where my lips where last, DO YOU? Makes you think, doesn't it.. To top it all off, I come to pick up my son 2 days before his last day and i stand outside the classroom door for a few to observer. While observing I watched the teacher interact with the kids, my son is has a personality was standing up making some noise. When he should of been sitting down listening. Instead of handling the situation the proper way. Christina decide to raise her voice and say "Shut your mouth and sit your butt down". Since when was this a way to talk to a child? How would have you have felt being talk to like that as an ADULT? I'm upset!!! read more

Where to even start?! From day one, Jennifer has been a godsend. When touring the facility two years ago, I knew this was the place for me and my boys. Jennifer has treated my kids as if they were her own. I trust this place and the staff and every day I feel at ease dropping my boys off knowing they will be properly cared for. My youngest loves his teachers, Ms Maria and Ms Whitney. They are kind, fair, honest, consistent, and fun. There was a time when I came early to pick my youngest up, and from the window I observed as his amazing teacher was dancing around and the kids loved it! My boys have learned so much at this facility. They have developed confidence, made so many friends, and have learned a lot of great tools to help further their education. I also love that I receive email reports throughout the day, along with photos of what my children are doing! I highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

I could write for days about how happy I have been with Minnieland at England Run. From our very first visit on they have exceeded my expectations. I work mostly from home but needed a place for my 11 month old son to stay one day a week for the occasions where I needed to go into the office. I looked at nine different daycare centers, including a few other Minnieland locations, from Fredericksburg up to Arlington where my office is. While they all seemed competent I had an immediate comfort level at the England Run center that I hadn't felt anywhere else. I toured with the Assistant Director, Tracy, who greeted me at the door and immediately made me feel right at home. She showed me the entire center, answering my questions along the way. She introduced me to the ladies who would be my son's teachers, and immediately I was impressed. They were all so nice, and two of them had each been there six years or more, which says a lot. It was obvious that they truly enjoyed their jobs, enjoyed the kids. Afterward both Tracy and the Director, Jennifer, spent almost a half hour talking to me and answering more questions. My son had previously been enrolled at another center that a friend recommended and I left because I was really unhappy with them. Tracy and Jennifer were able to answer every one of my concerns. Two days after our tour I got a note from them saying how much they enjoyed meeting me and thanking me for coming in, and my son got a note from one of his future teachers, Mary, that she enjoyed meeting him and hoped he could come back soon to play. I enrolled Sam a few days later and every day that I take him reaffirms that I made the right choice. They are always friendly. The rooms are clean and well organized. The teachers are fantastic, and even though our son only goes once a week they remember details about our family and life outside of daycare. They really go out of their way to make sure that our son still gets to participate in all of the curriculum items like art, reading, and music. It's clear that even at that young age the teachers are focused on teaching, and not just babysitting. In fact, even at only one day a week I feel like our son is greatly benefited by attending. They really help our son to transition comfortably when I drop him off, and it's obvious that each teacher really cares about the kids. I'm not sure how they manage it but I've never seen any child just left to cry, even for a few minutes, which used to happen often at our previous daycare. I have never had a single concern with this center; I know each time I drop my son off that he is in excellent hands at the most caring, competent and well-run center anywhere in this area. read more

I don't even know where to begin with how to express our love, gratitude, trust and dependability we feel towards the school, it's energetic teachers and amazing director. My daughter as been attending Minnieland at England Run since she was four months, she is now three and we have only experienced the up most respect in every classroom she has been in. The school is very clean and quaint. It is always decorated so that the seasons are represented, it really brings the center to life. It may seem like a minor detail, but it is a welcoming detail that is noticed. When you go somewhere every day, you want to feel like you have a place there. The care, love and compassion my daughter has received from all her teachers is something that cannot be expressed in words. I know when I drop her off she is safe, happy and content. What more can you ask for? We have established relationships with her teachers that are beyond just learning. We are so grateful for them everyday. The curriculum/lesson plans are very detailed and thorough. Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies standards are met every day! Another aspect of the curriculum I absolutely love are the social skills that are integrated into the lessons. Lastly, the director of the school runs a tight ship. Which you NEED to when taking the lead on all of our precious babies. She is very organized, approachable and if you need something... you just ask her! Nothing is ever a problem! read more

My 15 month old daughter has been attending this daycare for about 10 months and I couldn't be happier with the care and education she is receiving. We did a drop-in visit when she was about two months old so she could start care when I returned to work when she was 5 months old. They welcomed us in with open arms and took us back to the infant room to meet the teachers and learn about everything she would do in the infant room to include yoga, art, listen to music, and looking at books. The room is perfectly set up to stimulate and entertain the youngest infant to the oldest baby before they move to the toddler room. I've watched my daughter, who hated tummy time at 5 months old, start crawling after a couple of months at the center and walking before a year. It's evident how much all of her teachers love her and how much she has learned. I can't wait to continue watching her grow during her time at Minnieland Academy at England Run. read more

My only sadness about Minnieland at England Run is that my daughters are no longer there. My 13 year old was there since she was about 6 months old, and the 8 year old since she was 3 months old. They both LOVED it there. During all that time, a significant number of teachers were constant, which at a place like a daycare really says something. They are dedicated and loving at all stages, being careful to always have an appropriate teacher-to-student ratio and spending time each day with every child in their charge. Jennifer and Tracy are great about working with you on strange schedule issues and addressing any concerns you might have, which were few and far between. In all our years there (12+) I think I can count on one hand the times they were closed or closed early for something other than a holiday: working parents can depend on them. For the youngest kids, you get sent home a daily report, itemizing feedings and diaper changes (for infants), potty training progress, etc. Even the slightest injury is tended to and carefully reported, with action taken to address the cause. And the girls still talk about "Miss Shirley's cooking" - often along the lines of "this is OK, but not as good as Miss Shirley"s". The food is healthy and the variety is good, with great care taken to avoid allergies and other foods that might cause concerns. I would not hesitate to recommend Minnieland Academy at England Run for child care at any age. read more
