It was such a pleasure! In such a vulnerable time when you may not feel entirely like yourself; or how the world can be so loud with "bounce back" culture .... She made me see myself as strong, powerful, resilient! & also soft, beautiful & my children's safest place!!!! If you're ever looking for a doula, birth photographer, or like me a special breastfeeding session she is amazing! It was comfortable, she brought some beautiful energy to my home & in seeing these reminded me how truly remarkable women are ANYWAYS, TAKE ALL THE PICTURES, I promise you will treasure them one day. It's amazing to me that in such a short amount of time, MSC has become like a second family to us (and a second home for our son!). Prior to enrolling in the program, our family attended an MSC Open House. After touring MSC and its classrooms and learning about its curriculum and its mission, we knew that we had found the perfect place for our family and our next chapter (shoutout to Rebecca Reese for hosting such an awesome tour!). From Day 1 in the school's infant program, we have felt welcomed and cared for. I really appreciated that when I had questions, the MSC team took the time to meet with me in person and address all of my concerns. Kudos to Krysten and Amber, who lead the center's Early Learning programs, for being so patient with this new mom and her many questions! Your professionalism, and your kindness, is so appreciated. The same can be said for our son's lead teacher, Ms. Ayanna, and her entire team (Ms. Shakara, Ms. Adriana, Ms. Sylvia and other helpers), who provide an amazing classroom experience (and curriculum) for our son and his classmates. Ms. Ayanna and her team are professional, inviting, fun and knowledgeable, and we know that our son has the best care possible. As first-time parents, it has also been so wonderful to have this team of professionals to turn to with everyday questions. They have taught us so much already! In addition to participating in the full-time infant program, we've also had the chance to enroll in the "Music & Me" weekly class offered by The Parenting Place on the second floor of MSC. Shoutout to Ms. Tracey for creating this interactive class. Our entire family enjoyed taking turns bringing Charlie to it, and we continue to sing the songs at home! "Hello, Everybody" is a fan favorite in our house. To put it simply, our experience with MSC has been nothing short of spectacular. I would recommend MSC and its programs to any parent. Our family is so proud to be a part of its FIN-tastic community. :)

Though Fort Lauderdale Community School GED ESOL Classes could use some sprucing up, it's a real asset to our community for what it offers. It's here that you'll find a lot of students, many from foreign countries, who are motivationally driven to learn English, get a GED and learn other skills they'll need to get good employment, become productive Americans, make something of themselves and enhance their living. Besides offer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and GED (General Educational Development), often know as the High School Equivalency, Fort Lauderdale Community School has a good number of other skill courses to offer in computer sciences etc., but more importantly career counseling in order that its students are able to work out a programed of set goals for achievement. It also offers courses for people like me, English speaking but might like to learn Spanish as well. Though everything about Fort Lauderdale Community School's offerings are rather simplified and basic, that is exactly what it should be and what is needed. For us, living in such a diverse community with so many coming here who really want to become productive Americans or have a second chance in life, it is this school that offers them those chances and opportunities. For the community needs it fills, I can't help but be a fan of it. Four Stars.

I also had the pleasure of working with Daria and Diana - they were both my postpartum doulas that worked with us overnight for the first 4 weeks after my son was born. They felt like family from the beginning, so much that I cried when our time working together came to a close.
