Wanted to share a wonderful experience I had this past week! A magical moment I will treasure for years to come I just barely 3 months postpartum with twins, decided to step out of my comfort zone & celebrate 3 months being blessed to breastfeed my boys, with a milk bath session with the wonderful Martha! It was such a pleasure! In such a vulnerable time when you may not feel entirely like yourself; or how the world can be so loud with "bounce back" culture .... She made me see myself as strong, powerful, resilient! & also soft, beautiful & my children's safest place!!!! Martha is an amazing doula!! After our first meeting together, my husband and I felt confident we made the right choice. As first time parents, she put us at ease, answered all our questions, and showed herself to be an expert in her field. But what I loved most about working with her is how much she genuinely cared for us! You can tell being a doula isn't just a J.O.B. for her. She made herself readily accessible throughout my pregnancy and postpartum and frequently encouraged us to reach out to her about anything at all. And when I was feeling down about the challenges I was having breastfeeding, she became my #1 supporter and cheerleader while everyone else around me was just pressuring me to give formula or offering unhelpful advice. More than a month after my baby's birth, we were still in contact about my breastfeeding journey and other issues that come up postpartum. It felt like she was genuinely concerned. I was also very happy that for our hypnobabies birth, she took the time to really read the packet of materials I gave her about it so that she could better support me on my birthing day. And that she did!! I truly believe that one of the reasons why my birthing experience was so amazing was because of her. Will definitely hire her again should we have another baby! read more

Martha is absolutely incredible. Initially we hired her as our doula because we had intended to have a homebirth and knew we would need extra support. We decided to add her photography services after seeing her portfolio and since it was our first baby. I talked to her on the phone and was instantly at ease regarding my sons birth and felt an instant connection with her. Early on it was so helpful to talk through our birth plan with someone who has "done it and seen it all" in terms of birth. Any time I had a question she was a text or phone call away and she was able to put me at ease. As we got closer to birth, I started to feel anxious and discouraged and Martha was able to talk me through my feelings by validating what I was feeling and guiding me on navigating relationships and situations I was going through at the time. Beyond her extensive knowledge surrounding birth, she was also able to guide us in different products we could purchase for postpartum baby wearing! My little one is two months old and he and I LOVE wearing him every single day. In regards to our birth, she gave us so many good ideas on how to set up our home both for photographs and to assist us in getting through the birth. During Labor Day, we were beyond grateful Martha was on our team. Our birth did not go as planned and we ended up in a hospital transfer. I was an emotional wreck but Martha out me at ease every step of the way. She is very well known at the hospital we delivered at and was able to guide me in making decisions so I still ended up with a vaginal delivery. I'm 100% positive I would have ended up in a c-section (which was the absolute last thing I wanted) had Martha not been there to guide us. Post-partum Martha has continued to stay in contact and support us in whatever we needed. 8 weeks later I can still text her with questions or if I need her advice. She even leant us her stretchy wrap for the early days of baby wearing! Beyond the emotional support, Martha's photos of the whole experience were just incredible. No matter how many times I look at them I still get emotional recalling the day. They showed me how hard I worked to bring our son into the world and how hard I fought for the delivery I wanted. Overall, we will hire Martha again and again. We would not have had a positive birth experience without her. If you are at all questioning whether you need Martha as your doula and photographer, you absolutely do. She's 1000% worth the investment and anyone would be crazy not to hire her! Martha helped me with a birth trauma release session. I reached out to her after not being to achieve a VBAC. I was feeling disappointed with myself... feeling like my body failed me. The session changed my outlook on the birth. I can talk, remember, relive it without being flooded by tears. It has made a huge impact for me and my ability to cope and accept what happened. Having a recording of the session available helps me go back to listen and have been useful to help me relax and nap while the baby sleeps. I can't thank her enough! read more

i could write novels about how much having Martha in our corner meant to us during pregnancy and birth. she was always honest, always open, incredibly educated, never once made my husband or i feel judged, and was always available- especially in those crazy last few weeks of pregnancy when you just need the extra emotional support. she is so patient, kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. i truly don't know what we would've done without her. having her come to our home to do a maternity shoot at 40 weeks as well as photograph our birth experience was something i am SO grateful we did, that i hadn't even considered before. it meant the world to have her present in the hospital with us with her comforts like an oil diffuser, the sounds we chose, her emotional/physical birth support for my husband and i both, and to also know she was documenting the whole thing for us so we didn't have to worry about taking photos and could stay present in our precious moments. she also helped us facilitate placental encapsulation and coordinated with L&D at our hospital to help us have the most pleasant and memorable experience we could during our stay. she's not just a doula or friend. she feels like a part of our family now. i know i'm forgetting things but the most important part: Martha is a MUST!! read more

If I could give Martha 6 stars, I would! My sister introduced me to Martha when I was 14 weeks pregnant. I interviewed a few other doulas beforehand, but none seemed to be on the same page of what I needed; Martha was. I labored at Boca Regional with her during the COVID19 pandemic. My initial birthing plan included a tub, mobility, and limited monitoring, but a change in my third trimester led to a scheduled induction. Regardless, Martha was with me when I was in active labor, talking me through breathing, pressing on my back, and assisting with any positioning I was able to do in the bed. I delivered vaginally with no epidural and I truly believe that would not be the case if I didn't have her there. This was my first pregnancy and Martha provided me with care, education, and support from the moment we met through to my postpartum phase. Martha is a beautiful, spiritual, very knowledgeable and very caring mother, woman and great doula that we met this year for our home birth doula service. We found her in some parenting magazine and contacted her directly, where me and my husband didn't regret a second of choosing her as our doula. We had an incredible experience working with Martha. My husband and I had moved to South Florida when I was 35 weeks pregnant, so it was very hectic. Thank goodness I found Martha. Even though it was very last minute, she dove in head first and worked incredibly hard to get us all of the resources we needed. She went above and beyond when it came to checking in with me and making sure I was ok and that I had what I needed. I really liked her approach, as well. She listened to our needs and preferences and she made a lot of great suggestions. I never felt like she was trying to "tell us what to do" because "she knew best" (my experience with other practitioners in this field). It was all about us, and our plan, and she was there to support and offer guidance. We had an out of hospital, natural birth, and throughout the birth I always felt confident with Martha by my side. Martha is an amazing doula! She is knowledgeable about all types of ways women give birth. She truly is wanting and working hard to make sure every mama's birth experience is a positive one. I chose a hospital setting and planned to have an unmedicated birth. She walked me through how she would provide support during labor and taught me how to advocate for the birth experience I desired. She helped me write out my two birth preferences (plans) and know which questions to ask my doctors. In the end I had a scheduled cesarean and Martha proved once again why I made such a good choice with her as my doula. She was able to walk me through the process during OR prep since I had not done much research on that type of delivery. Leading up to the birth she had my husband and I fill out a questionnaire that really engaged us in our thoughts on pregnancy/ delivery and even child rearing. Martha was a wonderful light to have during the pregnancy process as well as through labor and delivery. We knew that we wanted to work with her during our first meeting. She was positive, on board with what my husband and I both wanted during this journey, and she also worked with our midwife before which was a huge plus. She gave Spinning Baby exercises and a list of other things to do leading up to labor to help bring our baby down and potentially make labor a shorter process. During labor she caught a slip on the nurses side that really could have led the birth in a different direction so we were extremely thankful for her during this time. read more

Before I became pregnant with my second I had met a mom that had worked with Martha and shortly thereafter I found out several in my network of moms had her attend as their Doula (Talk about a tight knit birthing community!) I heard nothing but praise and admiration for Martha and all she did for them in one of the most tumultuous moments in their lives. As well as witness through her incredible photography of a close friends birth how talented she was. I knew with my second I needed Martha by my side to help guide me through my home birth but also capture it as I had very little visually captured from my last birth. Martha from day one was on my level and met me where I needed her. She gave me grace and a safe space to feel all the ups and definite downs of pregnancy. Through insurance woes and concerning symptoms I knew that Martha was an ear and advice I could always count on. As I grew closer to my birth Martha become available 24/7 to help me figure out what I could do to assist baby in optimal birth position or how to help me calm my early labor contractions so I could attempt to rest and prepare for what was to come. Did I mention how ANY problem I had martha had a resource for me? Need a midwife? Chiropractor? Lactation consultant? Postpartum therapist? Reading material? This woman KNOWS birth and the birthing community. I never felt lost in my problems. My son's birth day was finally here and without Martha I truly believe I would not have believed in my ability to achieve my home birth. I surrounded myself with the best possible support and in my moment of exhaustion and what felt like defeat I told her I didn't want to do this anymore. The dream of a hospital bed came to mind and she was able to hear my need and redirect me. Would you believe from that point my baby boy came into the world (in my bedroom!) only 2 hours later?! She helped ground me when I felt lost and helped me listen to my body when I wanted to retreat. After his birthday Martha continued to check in on me. Postpartum is such a delicate time and I felt heard and cared for even after everything was over. The best part? I have a huge gallery of maternity, birth, and postpartum photos that I get to look back on. This strange covid age didn't take away from this beautiful part of my life and Martha helped make sure I am eternally able to relive and rejoice in everything I accomplished. My birth took time to process. It was in the end what I had hoped for but birth is tough. 2 months in the birth photos were still a lot to digest. 4 months in and I cannot get enough of how strong I was and how incredible I look catching my baby with my own 2 hands. I cannot sing Martha enough praises. I owe this beautiful soul more than I can put into words.
