I have worked at this center for two years (would have been longer but I had to move) and I can definitely say that I am impressed with the program. I truly believe in the program. It is personalized and flexible. I had seen students who HATED math begin to understand it, tolerate it, and even LOVE it. The program is flexible enough to accommodate students with learning and developmental disabilities. The main feature about this Mathnasium (and in Darien) that trumps all others is the amazing staff! David is the best employer I've ever had and probably ever will have. His manner of dealing with people is a rare find in today's cut-throat world. Barbara, Elizabeth and Evan were all amazing instructors and co-workers and truly made the center feel like a home away from home for the kids. I would say the biggest complaint we got from the students was that they didn't want to leave! I truly miss Mathnasium of Fairfield, the parents, the students, the atmosphere, everything! I can guarantee you, having seen it hundreds of times, if you bring your child here, they will become more confident, they will improve their math skill and you will find the best value for your money you can find.

I started this one week class in Brooklyn first, which was a wonderful center also, but transferred to the center in Norwalk because it is closer to my home. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Flege, and the instructors in the Norwalk location have been absolutely top notch, and the material they present is well organized and well designed for people like me who are novice at investing, as well as for experienced investors. Online Trading Academy presents the classes with honesty and terrific advice to accompany the classwork. Core Strategy takes some practice, and Steve Flege has been super in offering personal classes to help students advance. I want to also take some of the other Asset Classes. Another great thing about Online Trading Academy is that a student can take the classes over and over for free for life, and has access to all the same classes online that are recorded, or even given live, as well as a wealth of other learning information. Here's some feedback for the school:…read more Pro-tip #1: Don't act all annoyed when a prospective student who comes out to kick the tires asks if the follow-up paid course has any sort of satisfaction guarantee. A simple yes or no would suffice. Pro-tip #2: Don't hem and haw when a prospective student asks how much follow-on training might cost and force said prospective student to dig in and continue to ask. The answer to this BTW appears to be a minimum of $1000.00 for every day of training for a 7 day course. Apparently the next follow up course for $149.00 does not really provide any skills - just further background, refreshments and lunch and more opportunity to sell courses. Of course if they stuck all this up front they would get much fewer curiosity seekers. My very basic question today before having information about the ACTUAL courses was would I have enough information and possible skill and tools to be able to start investing after taking the next follow on course for $149.00. Initially the answer was yes but that quickly turned into a no when pressed. You are basically paying for an two way interview. Oh and I FINALLY gleaned that there were no real tools like simulator platforms to practice etc just materials. So I left with the glaring question of why are they worth $1000 a day and why that other course is worth $149 other than the repeated mantra that I'd we were disciplined and followed their rules we would not lose all our money. Mind you they kept pushing futures and margins and options which are all risky ventures even for very seasoned and experienced investors. Hilariously, this instructor stated that if you followed their system it was NOT gambling even though he also stated that it was like a craps table because the best bets were for the house against the dice thrower as those odds were better. And if course the response that this was not gambling because of their systems and the research. Helloooooo. Past performance is not and indicator of future performance and when no one can state with certainty an outcome it's still called gambling. Verbal semantics to sell.

We have loved NEFDA for the last 12 months when Kyle was the teacher. He was perfect for younger…read morekids and understood what they needed to be successful. We just completed one of their summer camps though that was a completely different experience. They had 26 campers in a tiny room with 5 staff members. Kyle unfortunately left the company that week and my daughter went from loving it to coming home crying every day. When I confronted Irina, I was told that they had 26 kids and just could not cope, which I understood, however taking on that many kids is completely in her control, so it is therefore hard to understand why it happened. That being said the thing that insulted me the most was that she said that my child was used to having everything done for her at home which is why she wasn't capable of finishing her dress on her own. She is actually a really good student that requires very little help with tasks or learning something new but the reality is she is 8 - and relatively new to sewing - which is why she was struggling. In the end her 9 year old friend had to pin her in to the dress for the fashion show. I hate writing this review as under Kyle's leadership, it was such a magical place. I would think twice about sending your younger child here and if you do, make sure there are no more than 12 in the class.

When I have time, she has made me delicious omelettes. If you're at the YWCA this is a great place to stop and grab breakfast, lunch, or a snack!
