Jenna is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and has great tips and tricks for the experienced cook and patience for those of us who struggle to use a stove knob. Her recipes are prepared beforehand based on your tastes and are really healthy, delicious, and easy to prepare. I felt like I was on a cooking show. Her kitchen is professional and well-stocked with tools. She is a great conversationalist and keeps the session moving at the right pace, based on the meals you are preparing. This was worth every penny and I highly recommend Cook Learn Live, and Jenna, specifically.

The class was not only educational, it was a lot of fun, and definitely a great reprieve from my typical Sunday afternoons spent studying in front of a computer. Jenna did a great job of overseeing the prepping and cooking of the four dishes we had on the menu for the night. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to manage a kitchen full of amateur chefs (half of whom rarely cook at home)...but somehow she managed to do it with grace! Jenna was extremely patient with and open to all of our questions as well. In particular, I thought she did a great job of incorporating the 'why' behind her answers to questions like: What ingredients do you always have on hand? How do you know which spices go well together? What goes into a vegetable stock? I really appreciated how Jenna tailored the class specifically for a group of grad students, focusing on: increasing the nutritional value of our meals, saving time in the kitchen, and all the while cutting down on costs. Three things that I know I DEFINITELY need to do more of! I walked away from the class with an arsenal of new cooking tips, a full belly (plus a few containers of leftovers), and a packet of recipes from the class. Three hours very, very well spent! So I just completed their 3 hour free introduction course. Here's some feedback for the school:…read more Pro-tip #1: Don't act all annoyed when a prospective student who comes out to kick the tires asks if the follow-up paid course has any sort of satisfaction guarantee. A simple yes or no would suffice. Pro-tip #2: Don't hem and haw when a prospective student asks how much follow-on training might cost and force said prospective student to dig in and continue to ask. The answer to this BTW appears to be a minimum of $1000.00 for every day of training for a 7 day course. Apparently the next follow up course for $149.00 does not really provide any skills - just further background, refreshments and lunch and more opportunity to sell courses. Of course if they stuck all this up front they would get much fewer curiosity seekers. My very basic question today before having information about the ACTUAL courses was would I have enough information and possible skill and tools to be able to start investing after taking the next follow on course for $149.00. Initially the answer was yes but that quickly turned into a no when pressed. You are basically paying for an two way interview. Oh and I FINALLY gleaned that there were no real tools like simulator platforms to practice etc just materials. So I left with the glaring question of why are they worth $1000 a day and why that other course is worth $149 other than the repeated mantra that I'd we were disciplined and followed their rules we would not lose all our money. Mind you they kept pushing futures and margins and options which are all risky ventures even for very seasoned and experienced investors. Hilariously, this instructor stated that if you followed their system it was NOT gambling even though he also stated that it was like a craps table because the best bets were for the house against the dice thrower as those odds were better. And if course the response that this was not gambling because of their systems and the research. Helloooooo. Past performance is not and indicator of future performance and when no one can state with certainty an outcome it's still called gambling. Verbal semantics to sell.

As a new swimmer it took me some time to understand a lot of the techniques (still a work in progress) but he was always patient and encouraging throughout the process. I also got the opportunity to work with Ivan who I also appreciated! Overall really great experience! The instructors are skilled and do a great job at explaining things. One of the things I loved most were the small classes. typically there would only be one other person in my class and sometimes it would be just me, which was nice! They have flexible class options to choose from during the week and on the weekends. The price is also very affordable!

Our swim instructors, Torre and Valerie are extremely patient, they create tailored lesson plans for our different swim levels. Torre and Valerie help us swimmers develop proper skills and techniques. Torre provides us students with positive reinforcement. While Valerie provides the tools to learn the techniques of swimming. Sophie Sayaque at ABC Languages has been my daughter's French instructor for close to 7 years. My…read moredaughter (now 18) is going off to college and will have her last French lesson this week. Sophie is an AMAZING language instructor!!! She uses art, music, cooking, literature and film to teach French and also provides VERY entertaining insights into French culture and attitudes. Just to illustrate her teaching style, several of my daughter's lessons consisted of cooking classes where Sophie would provide an ingredient list for authentic French recipes ahead of time and then at lesson time, guide my daughter (via zoom) through the cooking process, while speaking entirely in French. That's another thing that sets Sophie apart from other instructors--she mainly communicates in French. Listening mostly to spoken French and gathering understanding from context clues, really enabled my daughter to become familiar with oral French. Two things point to how spectacular Sophie's French teaching method really works. First, my daughter, who is entering college as a freshman this fall (2026) is very motivated to attain French fluency. She placed easily into an upper level French class just by taking classes with Sophie (never having taken French in school). Second, we took a trip to France in spring of 2026, and traveled through several rural areas where English is not well spoken. My daughter was able to understand and speak the French language with considerable ease. Practicing French during lessons with Sophie--without using English really makes a difference! On a personal note, we know well that Sophie is kind, hilarious, focused and driven. When you sign up to learn French from her, you will learn French!!! My daughter is very sad to have to end her language journey with Sophie, as she goes off to college, but intends to keep in touch with this amazing instructor and friend!

In addition to being really flexible with scheduling, (which was super convenient) he really helped me get exactly what I wanted out of the essays & portfolio. His fixes were spot on and really strengthened my work. They weren't just cosmetic either, we did a lot of restructuring to support the root themes of the stories and make them better. I truly cannot imagine a better experience or a more encouraging teacher. A lot of other writing teachers I've had in the past get an idea in their head of how to fix a piece and try to steamroll you into executing it, but Alex was exactly the opposite! My vision was heard and supported at every step. Alex really took the time to understand me and my pieces, and they were better for it. I credit the confidence with which I submitted my applications to Alex and look forward to working with him in the future once I finish my manuscript draft!
