I had lost a ton of muscle, added a bunch of fat, and my posture had suffered. Initially I planned to train with Madison for 6 weeks to get myself back on track, but it's now 5 months later and I still see her weekly. I can not believe the impact that slow motion strength training has had on my body. I have gotten so much of my strength back and even developed muscles that have been neglected all of my life, which has enabled me to add some cardio and vinyasa yoga. My posture has gotten significantly better despite the fact that I'm still nursing and work at a computer most of the time, thanks to the series of exercises that Madison designs for me. I've lost almost 20 pounds, and definitely converted a bunch of fat to muscle. My butt and thighs are so much tighter than they used to be (sorry if that's TMI!) All in all, it's an incredible workout in that the results are very noticeable and the time commitment is tiny. That said, you DO have to be dedicated. Madison will ask you to push yourself really, really hard. Sometimes in the middle of workouts, all I can think is "Why am I doing this???" But then I remind myself that I just need to give it my all for 30 minutes, which really isn't that much. By the time I finish the workout, I'm absolutely exuberant as I walk out of the gym feeling strong and like I'm standing taller and more confidently. Usually I'm really sore for a day or two and then I start getting really excited for my next session....it's addictive to feel as good as it makes you feel :)

He is a consummate professional, knowledgeable, patient and yet knows how to inspire and make the workouts fun. He has always helped me to reach my goals, whether it be getting bigger, trimming down or working around injuries I sustained outside of the gym. Compared to your LA Fitness, NYSC, Planet or Crunch this is miles ahead of the competition. It's like an Equinox Lite vibe, all of the polish - none of the pretentiousness and more amenities! Pricing is higher than your average chain gym (still cheaper than EQX) but it's well worth it if cleanliness, availability at rush hour times, machine quality and amenities are your top priorities. Like any gym it has its busy times but it is still very easy to get your work out in especially compared to other gyms I've been to in the area. Rarely have I had a hard time getting onto a machine or felt it was too crowded. They are always making improvements and adjustments which is great to see! They even have their own medspa and chiropractor! So glad this place exists - only wish is that they had more locations!

This gym is NOT worth the money at all. It thinks it's an Equinox - and it's far from it…read more The staff could use some major training, especially in customer service. The lighting is so horrible and depressing, especially if you work out in the evening. The locker room and bathroom could use an uplift. The eco-friendly paper towels literally scratch your skin and don't dry well at all. The gym towels emit so much lint because they are very poor quality. Don't get me started on the parking. They valet your car - it's pretty much mandatory. Good luck pulling in during prime time and being told the (tiny) lot is full and you have to find your own spot in the surrounding area, which is scarce!! The classes are so basic and have no vibe at all, the instructors are very low energy, instructing off their phones. The classes are never full and some will only have one person signed up. Pretty sad. Wish I never signed up for a yearly contract. Can't wait until it expires. Waste of money.

Genuinely terrible overcrowded and scammy gym…read more I've been going to the edge fitness on and off for three years now. It is such a terrible experience going there.. they try to scam you at every point they possibly can and gouge every single cent out of you. Example 1). They told us we can buy their protein powder that they will store it for us at the gym and takeoff a good amount off the price of the shakes they sell. They got everyone to buy it and realized they didn't wanna hold them anymore so they made everyone take them back and stopped doing that deal. (finesse us into buying their sh****tty protein powder) example 2). They will blatantly lie to your face about the agreement you're signing for. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. example 2a) they told me I could get a three month summer pass before I go to school, sounded like a good price at first, then I got hit with a $50 service charge for the first month (I asked them if I'm only paying x amount monthly) the lady blatantly lied to my face about it saying i would only have the monthly charge. example 2b) I dislocated and got shoulder surgery shortly after the example above and went to the front desk to ask how to cancel. She told me I needed to email corporate and send a very formatted email. She ended up helping me write it nicely enough just to receive an email back saying they won't cancel it without knowing more than 30 days in advance. I provided proof of the surgery and that I couldn't even use their facility, but it didn't matter. After closing my account to avoid being charged extra, they are sending me to collections for $250 even though I only allegedly owed $45 Apparently, you have to pre-pay the next month and write the formal email to cancel. Since I didn't pay that extra $45 (the next months payment) they refused to cancel my membership charge me fees, and membership charges for the last two months.

Hearing great reviews from friends, I bid on and won two personal training sessions Combine donated to a local charity's Silent Auction event. After two challenging and fun sessions with Coach Rob Tracz, I was hooked and continue to this day. My fitness experience here has far surpassed that at any other facility. Combine's mission statement is "we build athletes" and the team of professional coaches offer personal training, triathlete training, school team training and new! is online training which I like to do when I'm away to maintain my fitness level. I think it's cool that Combine's Instagram celebrates members' learning experiences as well as student athletes' college acceptances as well as Triathletes achievements. Combine is owned by homegrown Greenwich High athlete Craig Vitale, former collegiate football player - now active Triathlete - and his wife Christina. Together they have created a supportive and friendly culture at Combine... a fitness place definitely worth checking out!!!
