So I decided to take the class anyway to know if it was for real. I discovered that it was everything I needed to help with my test anxiety, so when I took the test, it felt so easy that I thought all the practice tests I took were more complicated than the actual test. Here is the disclaimer Scott is a very tough man. He will not coddle (hold your hand) you throughout the process. If you are doing the work that is asked of you, he has no problem setting aside time for you when needed. The biggest thing that helped me was his testing strategies. Board Preppers know their stuff.

I started taking all 5 of my kids, and slowly over the years my older kids graduated, so they didn't need to test anymore...I'm down to 3 now, and potentially 1 next year. My kids don't take tests, so you'd think it would be stressful for them, but Kristen puts them at ease, and makes sure they're comfortable and doing well the entire time. They always test really high, I know that's a combo of their ability and excitement about learning, and the fact that it's a very nice and personal environment to test in. We love everyone at CLC, it's like going back in time to a school/tutoring center where the kids are smiling, the teachers and tutors truly love the students, and it's exactly how it should be when learning as a kid. It's beautiful!! We are so grateful to CLC for their help with testing and sending the letters to the state so we can continue to do homeschool!!! I highly recommend CLC for tutoring, or if you want the homeschool atmosphere but aren't able to homeschool, this is a great place to send your kids!!!!

We hired Kathy to help our son with the English/Reading part of the SAT specifically. His initial PSAT score from the fall was 560, which fell into the 66th percentile. After a 6 week program with Kathy, his score jumped to 700 and 95th percentile on the SAT. We are beyond grateful at this point. The only studying our son did for the SAT English/Reading section was with Kathy. She is 100% responsible for this huge leap. He now qualifies for full Bright Futures and might even apply to some colleges he initially assumed were unattainable. The program itself is very easy to follow, especially for busy Juniors who have sports, AP classes, and part-time jobs. Kathy offers group virtual zoom sessions on Sunday mornings and in-person sessions on Wednesday evenings. We chose Sunday mornings. The groups are small enough that our son felt like he was receiving 1:1 tutoring. Kathy's approach is very easy-going and interactive. I should also mention that our son has ADHD, so sitting on a zoom call for 90+ minutes can be torture, but he looked forward to the weekly calls. He always completed his weekly homework because he enjoyed the class so much and did not want to disappoint Kathy. Prior to Kathy we had researched tutors who were charging $100-$150 per hour and required 2x weekly sessions. In total we paid $600 and I feel like we received the deal of the century. The second time we paid for a boot camp and our scores promptly went down. And recently we tried to take a spring SAT prep course and the business could not run the course after advertising it because they had no one to teach the classes and had no recommendations for alternatives when asked. Not organized and although the owner may be a nice person that isn't what we needed. We needed a tutor who had instructors and classes and proven results. Obviously the communication software does not work, but I can only respond through the website. I have tried to contact the company numerous times by phone or e-mail, but no person ever answers the phone -- only a recording that the tutor coordinator is busy assisting other tutors and inviting the caller to leave callback information, and of course, no callback. So far the company has taken my money and given me access to no clients. This is beyond irresponsible. Beware!
