I would give 10 stars if I could! Our goal was for our grandchild to have a solid foundation for driving. This school and the way they teach is superb. Vickey is committed to teaching young drivers to drive well and be safe. My grandchild took the program offered through her school and did not find it to be satisfactory. It was all online and simply not engaging. I did a little research and found this driving school. My grandchild has some anxiety and this program offers live classroom teaching, as well as time for questions and clarification. The care and time spent to ensure each student receives the best possible instruction is well worth the cost. I can't tell you how happy we are with the classes and the driving training itself. Do not recommend - very unorganized and dishonest company. Book the 6 hours driving course 7 weeks ago and was told they would call me closer to the 6 weeks mark to finalize driving dates. We moved from out of state and my son is getting his licensed and is delayed because of our move and the requirements here in NC. I Put down larger deposit ($150) then required as well to show seriousness of being on the list Understanding the current wait times with COVID and all. While waiting he also competed another 30 hours of classroom to ensure no issues with out of state driving school he completed. Well we never heard from them and when I reached out today - they claim misunderstanding and we will just refund your money. That doesn't resolve the needs of my son to get his licenses. I would stay away froM this company and look elsewhere for your driving education needs in NC! read more

The owner, Vicky, is very rude when she doesn't get her way. I won't go into specifics but she called me and the call ended with her yelling at me, threatening to call DMV, and hanging up on me. Would not recommend this business if it was the last driving school in North Carolina. read more

If I could give a gajillion more stars, I would in a HEARTBEAT. Vickey Bridges isn't just a driving instructor, she is a driving MENTOR. And I would (and will) recommend her to everyone and anyone, whether they need to learn how to drive, brush up on it, or feel completely hopeless and doomed. I was the latter. I'm a recent transplant from CA and surely a late bloomer in terms of driving. I have had various driving instructors and two failed drivers tests. It didn't help that I began to develop a driving phobia after my sister's car accident. Long story short, I pretty much gave up for the next 2-3 years. Unfortunately, lack of transportation as a college student doesn't get a lot going for you, especially when you are in a new town. Finding Vickey was ultimately fate. I first stumbled upon a review for Carolina Road Driving School and it mentioned an instructor that used to work there named Vickey, and it emphasized just how PATIENT she was! Number one, my shaky driving desperately requires the patience of a saint. Number two, it made me more comfortable that she was a female instructor. Number three, she teaches both teens AND adults. Towards the end of the review, I find out Vickey has her own driving school called Learn 2 Drive! After finding her website, I was so impressed with her reviews and past experience. This lady doesn't just know her stuff, she has a PASSION for it. She impressed me right off the bat when I emailed her for information and scheduling. It was late at night, around sixteen emails in, and her replies were still quick and right on the dot. She definitely knows how to run her business strong. I booked her for 7 days or so and the whole experience was life-changing from the very moment she first picked me up. She never once yelled. She never discouraged me. She never let me lose hope. She encourages and praises your growth while gently and diligently correcting your mistakes. I mean, c'mon, she passionately takes on the challenge of teaching adults how to drive! It takes a lot of guts and patience to do that, but age doesn't limit her skills one bit. No matter how hopeless or devastated I felt, I knew she genuinely had my back and rooted for me. I knew this as soon as she made me feel safe and reassured when I had a slight breakdown one day. Trust me, she's going to run this race WITH you. (It also helps that her car is super smooth and comfortable to drive in!) I just received my license today. I began to cry as soon as I found out. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS GIVE HER A HUGE BEAR HUG (which I did). I'm a new driver so I'm still getting the hang of things, but I finally have the courage to do so. That courage is thanks to Vickey. Not only is she an amazing instructor and mentor, she is undoubtedly a beautiful person just the same. Vickey, thank you for your patience and heart. I hope to see you again someday when I'm ready to drive on the interstate and such!! Thanks for rooting for me. I am so grateful for your work. read more

My daughter hasn't taken the class yet but I'm giving them 5 stars because I called and left a VM in the morning. I received a call back within an hour - very courteous and helpful, and was even texted later per my request with the school's website. I registered my daughter right away. Learn2Drive Driving School was just what we needed! The ladies there are friendly, professional, and connect well with the kids. They had special guests come in and talk about various topics like motorcycle riding, safety, etc. My son learned a lot! Logistically, the classroom and drive time scheduling was a much smoother process than we had with my older son, who went through the public school. read more

My son did 3 driving lessons with Peggy and she was brilliant! My son is 18 and couldn't obtain a driving license in England. So while we were back for an extended visit to the States we decided to get lessons for him. My son's confidence in his driving ability increased as Peggy instructed him on the rules of the road, useful driving knowledge and safety tips. Vickey used a lot of visuals when she taught her class. This was helpful for my daughter to stay focused on the material. She was not a grumpy teacher. She seemed happy to be teaching. My daughter passed the driver's exam on her first attempt. I will be contacting Vickey again when it's time for my youngest child to take driver's ed. read more

If I could give more than five stars to Learn 2 Drive Driving School and its proprietor, Vickey Bridges, I would. Vickey helped me get my first driver's license at the age of 37, a goal which I had all but given up any hope of achieving. As a teenager driving never seemed important, I could walk or ride a bus to anywhere I wanted to go. As time went on, various things got in my way, I spent some time abroad, I had children, I was working and didn't have time to practice, I always found an excuse. Truth be told I had become nervous about driving and scared of failing. Finally a few years ago while living in northern New York I decided to really try to get my license. I took lessons, practiced driving with friends, and took my test. I failed the driving test, multiple times and became very discouraged about the whole thing. I didn't practice driving for over two years. Then we moved to rural North Carolina, where everything is at least 20 minutes drive from everything else. I was tired of having to explain to people why I don't have a license and I felt bad that my husband had to do all of the driving. To make a long story short(er), I called Vickey at Learn 2 Drive Driving School and after just a few lessons I finally have my license!! She is a wonderful driving instructor and a wonderful person, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a driving instructor. Learn 2 Drive Driving School is by far one of the most pleasant learning experiences I've had in a while. I was lucky to have Vicky as my instructor, who, aside from being highly professional and dedicated, has a very pleasant personality and a genuine desire to help her trainees. Before taking lessons with Vicky, I was very scared of driving and have never even imagined myself behind the wheel. However, and even to my own surprise, after only three lessons with this woman, I was able to pass the driving test at the first attempt. She is truly an incredible teacher and she gave me a great amount of helpful tips that helped me get over my fear of driving. The greatest challenge of parenting 16 year old twin teens is preparing them to be responsible and safe drivers. My nervousness certainly was not helping the parent/teen communication every time I tried to be the "co-pilot" in their driving process. Thankfully, we were introduced to Vickey Bridges! According to my 15 year old daughter who took the class: As soon as you walk in the door, there is a candy bowl! A candy bowl, what other school has that? She also offers a refrigerator full of sodas and water to keep us awake in the morning. I would rate this experience 5 stars as she teaches us everything we need to know while not putting us to sleep. The driving part of the course was better than I thought it would be because she teaches you in a parking lot first where it is safe. Then her way of teaching how to drive safely puts me at ease; she will stop you if you are going too fast or making too big of a mistake. read more
