Located in Parramatta Westfield along the walkway from the station to the foodcourt, Leah's Waxworks cuts an assuming figure nestled between two rather imposing stores. They specialise in hair removal, both waxing and lasering.
I have been for two sessions of laser hair removal, and so far the results have been good, if a little patchy. It's not too painful, exactly like rubber bands snapping against your skin, and is all over fairly quickly (depending on how much you want removed).
But, this is the kind of place where you need to do a lot of research before considering. The laser technicians are most unforthcoming about important information that clients should probably know before a visit if you don't want to have to go home disappointed and come back later. Like, you need to shave the area completely before a session, for example. Have all your questions handy and be prepared to ask them, because these people hardly speak. It's a "wham, bam, thankyou ma'am" type deal. They do their thing, get your money, and you're out of there. It's not the most professional if you like being treated like a person, as opposed to a walking wallet from which to extract money. read more
