We arrived late traveling from out of town, and tried to go to a local brewery which had closed earlier. Now my BFF is working a block away, so we hit it up to start off my birthday weekend and I'm definitely going to have to make it a regular stop. Happy hour deals are the most clutch here. (If your happy hour ends before 6, it's not happy.) The main bar is moody and honestly makes it kind of feel like you're transported. I believe they open the front windows during nice weather but in the winter, you're snug and cozy and the hustle and bustle of Walnut St is miles away. There is counter seating and then the other side is a long line of a booth seat with bistro tables and extra stools. The courtyard in the back is its own vibe and another transport. You're outside! No, you're inside! Kind of like Arnold's patio. There's a bar back there too. No snacks here (all the bars should have some snacks, dammit!) but it's more of a stop on the way to the rest of your night. Check out Righteous Room - it's an institution to still be open after more than a decade.
