First impression: Scott struck as a very professional and very eager to serve kind of person. After checking out many others, I have finally decided to go with Scott and RMK for my yard and landscaping work. Interpersonal approach and communication: Scott is very detailed and clear in communication and all through the process, as I had many updates and changes to my plan, worked with me to see through the completion. He was never pushy and salesman type and always honest, when he don't know the answer. About the actual work: Scott was punctual and stayed on schedule and was never in a hurry to finish the work in haste. I found him very thorough and felt like he was working on his own yard. Very rarely you will come across companies which offer such home services, where you get a trust-worthy feeling. RMK also does yearly yard cleanup and snow removal and I liked their website which had good pictures (before and after) and testimonials. There was less professionalism on the site and more functional aspects. He normally doesn't answer phones while working, but found him returning my calls or responding through email at the end of the day. After the work is done, Scott ensured that the work area is cleaned up and bagged all waste and garbage properly. I was very happy to have found Scott and RMK and know that any yard/landscaping work in future, I can call him. Scott provided a full invoice on the quote after all the work is completed and after checking if I was fully satisfied. I had to pay RMK by cheque as they are not setup to accept credit card. They are BBB 'A' accredited - which is one thing I definitely look for when using professional services.

We especially enjoyed their Whoville Grinch Tree-Making class. The team doing the workshops is awesome and really do a great job teaching you how to make something cool and providing you with all the tools to do it. The cost for the class gets incorporated into your purchase of the tree as well which is nice. I do recommend bringing your own ornaments and lights or planning to put your own on later because they are a little pricey here. We also love their customer nights, who doesn't love a little discount with your purchase. Pre-Covid they would have snacks and once there was cake, a lovely way to spend an evening with family and fellow gardeners. Of course their plant selection is incredible, definitely sign up for their electronic newsletter as they feature their incoming plants there and then you will truly see how much they offer. AJ's Lawn Care was the only one who responded and followed up. his initial estimate was way too much, but after i explained it and said it was about 8 hours of work, he revised it to a very reasonable quote of $ 150. it turned out there was at least 15 hours of work involved once we included the tree branch removal and 2 trips to the Eco station, and so i tripled his original quote and invoice of $ 150 and paid him $ 500 ($ 450 for the work and a $ 50 tip for excellent service and attitude). service was competent and efficient and excellent - better than expected. quality was very good. value was very good. his attitude in response to the difficulty and amount of work involved was excellent. I definitely recommend AJ's Lawn Care.
