This is one of the best meals I had while in Italy. Bologna is known for its amazing food but this restaurant stood out compared to the rest. This place was recommended to us. We came on a Thursday night around 7:30 for a party of 3 and were almost turned away because we didn't have a reservation but thankfully they were able to seat us.
The place is very small and cozy and the staff there spoke little to no English (which we actually saw as a GREAT sign) and there seemed to be all locals there. The prices were crazy affordable too. Now the food:
Cheese platter with honey (5/5): this dish is the true epitome of how something so simple can be so delicious. I don't even know what type of cheese we ate but we demolished the plate.
Salad (5/5): we ordered the house salad I believe (?) or the salad named after the restaurant. We were craving greens so this salad was amazingly fresh and had tons of ingredients! They also gave a huge portion for the price so it was definitely worth it
Tortellini in sage and butter (5/5): I dream about this tortellini
Tagliatelle al Ragú (5/5): when in Bologna you have to have all the tagliatelle al Ragú. This one was phenomenal and the pasta tasted very fresh
Pro tip: GET THE BREAD. If you haven't had tigelles yet you are in for a delightful doughy treat
Overall, this is a must if you're ever in Bologna. Best meal I had on my trip AND it was 41 euros for 3 people for all of that food. I cannot believe how cheap and delicious it was read more
