This was the best meal I had on an entire two-week trip to Europe. This restaurant is like a cozy…read moreski cottage, and from the moment my DC and I arrived we were doted on. The service and atmosphere are wonderful and inviting, and the food is even better.
It strikes me that their specials change frequently, so your experience might be different. We started with a complimentary serving of fresh bread and pepper sausage. At the waitress' suggestion we also had a sip of Kir, a traditional aperitif. It's very sweet, and was a good balance to the spice of the sausage. For dinner we shared cotte de veau (veal stew) and a cabbage and vegetable stew. These were served in earthenware pots and it was the exact right food for a cold night. Hearty and buttery: it made us feel warm from the inside out.
In addition to the specials there is fondue and raclette but we were stuffed. If you're ever in the area, call ahead and have possibly the best meal of your life.
