At L'Ardoise, I had a scallop, bacon, marinara sauce and salad crêpe. Seems a bit strange to put salad on the crêpe, but I was in dire need of vegetables (and in France, any kind of greens you get taste amazing, no matter how they're prepared or what kind). Additionally, this was my second scallop crêpe fot he day, and being closer to sea, I wanted to eat as many scallops as I could. The whole package was solid. For dessert, I had my first speculoos crêpe, and it was certainly worth the wait. Yum! Now that I've talked about the food, I can talk about the ambiance. This is a great place for a date. It's super cutely decorated, and manages to make Ikea furniture look really classy and romantic. I would happily return!

I've been on the hunt for the best crepes when I moved to France a little over a year ago, and I…read morewas really excited to go to Brest & Brittany -- which is where the galette crepes originate from. We ate crepes a handful of times when we were in Brittany, and this place was okay, but not amazing for me. I like my crepes more generous filled and I was still a little hungry after eating my savory crepe (maybe I just eat a lot!) I got a crepe with artichokes, mushrooms, cheese, and with a small salad of top. I did like the addition of the salad for some greens and to make my meal a little healthier. The salad was fresh and the mustardy dressing was really nice too. The sweet crepe we got had homemade strawberry confiture and a scoop of vanilla ice. Simple but good; I think my husband liked this better than me; I had FOMO because someone else had gotten something with apples and ice cream and I thought it looked better. All in all, decent crepes - better than average but nothing going out of your way for. The prices were not too expensive either and the food came out quickly. If I ever returned to Brest, I think I'd seek out a different crepe place to try. 3.5 stars from me - if you haven't had a ton of crepes to eat, this place will be better than average, but if you're searching for the best crepes to eat, I don't think it will be here sadly.

The staff is friendly. I tried the caramel flan and it wasn't great, but the salad and soup (which was the daily organic butternut) were great. You can get your food to go or eat there, inside or outside. The menu changes according to seasons (or weekly, with daily specials). I will return, especially given the good price and fresh produce. Perfect for a quick lunch!
