It was tough as leather. My husbands cod was only ok. To top it off, we were relegated to the front of the building without heat! I won't ever be back to this place and if you're American, and don't speak French, you should choose another place!!

Hubs had the seafood soup with his meal which he loved. I had the Cesar salad that was drenched in way too much dressing but still not terrible. The apricot chicken had a weird texture and not much flavour. I had the peppercorn beef-medium. It was blue rare and very tough, and the peppercorn sauce didn't have any flavour either. The desert was quite good though! All in all an experience to say the least. I hope in the future- being that Juno Beach is a huge part of Canadian history and attracts many English speaking Canadians- they get an English version of their menu to help with the language barrier. We were able to make it through but I know if that was my mom she would have just not ordered anything lol. I was impressed with the effort of the young male server though! But we do understand not every where has English versions of menus but this was the first restaurant we visited without one or without at least one server that spoke a bit of English.

After my husband wrote his review on this website, the manager of this hotel contacted him to yell…read moreand make threats! In addition, since the reservation was used for business travel the manager sent a letter to complain about him to his company for his review! The original complaint was made because the hotel acted in bad faith by changing the price to a higher rate for the 2nd hotel night after the booking was already complete! In addition, the manager tried to do damage control by asking the receptionist to say there was a mistake with the price, and this was after the booking was already completely. The hotel should honor the price they sold the room for, PLAIN AND SIMPLE! The hotel acted in bad faith and refused to correct their error; instead they chose to make a bad situation worse. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! In addition the manager of this establishment harassed me on TripAdvisor for writing a review accusing me of being someone else and leaving an alias and he also included customer names in his comments. This is clearly unprofessional behavior and not an establishment that should not be trusted. If you need a place to stay in France find a nice gite in Caen or spring extra for another hotel, it will be worth it.
