We loved another day spent exploring the wonderful historical town of Bayeaux and its beautiful Cathedrel Notre Dame. We stayed in a spacious, modern, and comfortable room in the building that was once most likely a carriage house. A stream was right outside our door, and lovely flowers and trees dotted the property. We had an outdoor seating area in the back overlooking the tennis courts, and there was seating in spots around the property. Dinner was served in the main cheateu and was one of the best meals we ate in all of France. The desserts were like works of art and tasted absolutely amazing. Meals are charged to the room and paid for at check out which is so convenient. Service was fantastic and accomodating, and staff cheerfully arranged a taxi service for us a few times. Off the beaten path but within walking distance to train station. I would highly recommend if you are looking for peace, quiet, and the beauty of nature.

The environment is classy elegant but not old crappy that everything is ready to fall apart. Free Wi-fi is lame. We were given some 2 hours usage slips to get on their wi-fi. Who use internet only 2 hours for the entire stay? We ended up keep asking for extra slips for wi-fi such as hassle. Breakfast is soso. I don't feel any items are home made and very limited selection. Given there are so many restaurants in Bayeux with much lower price. You don't miss anything. The Chateau location is great, center to everything. We had great time in their spacious duplex. This is relaxing experience.

The shower was ace with powerful consistently hot water. Wifi included and good and reliable for the most part. We had a 1st floor view over the front entrance toward fields and some local houses. This Ibis is about right on the beach at Dives sur Mer close to a Lidl, near the main train station and about a 5 minute drive to a Mc Donald's drive thru. There was a train strike so no train noises. If you arrive late you can book in via a credit card machine in the lobby and once you book the machine gives you a code to access the hotel and the same code allows room entry so you've no keys to lose. The machine offers four or five languages. ibis breakfasts are great and here it cost €13 for two - eat all you like with various breads, sweet breads, jams, honey, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, yoghurts, cereals, cold meats etc. The owners are friendly folk, a man and wife crew with a few helpers to maintain good standards. A pretty unique and delightful feature here is a beautiful well maintained Japanese garden nurtured by the owner. An eye catching and conversational thing. This would be a good value base from which to explore the area for a few days.

Everyone had a place to stay, hang out, or get some space. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - making us feel at home. Their morning breakfast was top notch. The chapel, restaurants, cafe's, and sights are all within walking distance. This is a place that reminds you the history that permeates France with buildings that are hundreds of years old (but don't look shabby) and a friendly atmosphere. If you are planning on exploring Normandie you can base out of here and be within 1-2 hours of everything.

Much of Bayeux was walkable from here, and driving to the American and British beaches was very manageable. You can see the entrance to the museum with the Bayeux Tapestry from their front door. Restaurants we planned to taxi to were walkable. The facility is a several century old mansion, totally renovated by the architect owner who has done everything first class. Our room was huge, everything was new, and everything worked. The staff was outstanding in their efforts to accommodate a couple Americans. Breakfast equaled the facility - in a formal dining room setting and with an extensive selection. I would recommend Hotel Tardif Noble Guesthouse to anyone, whether they're five star hotel people or campers.

Service was very pleasant and very helpful, both with information and also with physically accompanying you to your room. Each room is a separate room in one of the buildings, of which there are many. The rooms are very comfortable, with modern air conditioning, espresso, and both large bedrooms and bathrooms. The only knock i would have, at least for our particular room, was how tiny the water closet was. The toilet was tucked away in its own room, which is great, but this particular room's toilet was basically crammed in there, to the point where there was literally no extra room between the toilet and the door. Very uncomfortable. But, that's only one of the rooms, and i assume they're not all like that. Our room was the common two-twins-pushed-together, which is common in Europe, but you wouldn't have known it by how comfortable the bed was. Didn't notice at all it was two beds. Very happy with the room. Dinner that night was at the hotel's restaurant, which was another fabulous meal. Lots of fantastic dishes, including a perfectly cooked steak. And, because our walk back to the room was so short, we decided to go for it with the alcohol, which was very good as well. Opted for the additional course of a poached egg, which was a common treat in France, having an egg course. Dinner also consisted of fish and beef, a cheese course, and a dessert course featuring a very unique layered dessert with ice cream. Everything was great! They do offer breakfast, though it's certainly not the cheapest, but it's a very good spread, with lots of fresh everything. But, we wanted to get an early start, so we decided to just pay and head out. Even though we didn't stay for breakfast, they let me pull a fresh espresso, which was very nice of them. Overall, this was a very comfortable hotel, just outside the very cute town of Honfleur. The food was good, as was the location. If you find yourself looking for a hotel in this part of France, give this place a look.

My 2 children and I shared a queen size bed and I would not recommend this but the hotel itself was beautiful and picturesque. I would have loved being here with my husband for a long weekend. Its absolutely charming and the staff is very friendly. Not many people in this region speak a lick of English or at least they didn't let on that they do:) We tried our best to speak a very little French and were able to get by. The restaurant is small and lovely with some tables sprinkled outside. There is a pond with a lovely waterfall. The room that we had was small for us but completely fine for a couple. There was no safe, pool or air conditioning but no need for them as well. It's located 15 minutes to Deauville and Treauville centers and beaches. 1.5 hours to Omaha beach and 1.25 hours to Giverny (Monet's house and gardens.) Its about 5 minutes to Hornfleur which is an absolutely charming town center with many restaurants to choose from--but skip the Hornfleur beach that looks at a massive power plant--the antithesis of charming.

It took us a while to figure out how to work the washer and dryer properly; however, once we did, they worked like a charm. There is a great outside area where you can sit or have a picnic. This was our meeting place in the morning and nights to regroup and rehash the day and night's events. The area around the house is lovely and quiet. Cows and their calves roam the fields in back of the house. This house is not handicap accessible. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are a bit tricky as they are old and partially spiraled. There is a shower upstairs, which was convenient. There is also a bath on the other side of the house- I don't know why baths don't have shower curtains in France!! It's such a mess. The accomodations are as follows: 2 rooms with double bed 1 room with 1-single bed 1 room with 2-single beds 1 room with 2-single beds and a double bed Beds were hard but comfy. The "master bedroom" has the oldest bed and probably could use a new mattress but we made do. Highly recommend! A perfect place for a family reunion. Enough space and adequate tools (oven, dish washer, plates, etc) to cook and eat meals here. Bring your own towels!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you are willing to step back from the hustle and bustle of the fast life and just take life in at a slower, more relaxed pace.
