With that being said, I think one of my only more "important" comments, is that if you're a female going to attend a concert that you know is more of a "sold out" kind of situation in terms of attendance, plan your washroom breaks ahead of time as best as possible. I tried my best not to need to use the facilities during our last visit for the Tame Impala concert but when you gotta go, you gotta go! Before I continue, I understand that there are a lot of people and there's only so much the venue could do but I almost wish they had replaced their popcorn stands with extra porta-potties or something. I was in line for the entire intermission of roughly 40-50 minutes and I almost thought the woman ahead of me in line wasn't going to make it based on how she was hopping in place. Meanwhile, our long line went past the men's washroom and we saw them going in and out in two seconds with zero line to wait. A lady who was desperate tried sneaking in to the men's washroom but they had a guard ensuring this wouldn't happen. For safety reasons, I'm glad they do this but it just shows how desperate some people were. So, ladies- let's maybe make a point of going as fast as we can for the sake of others waiting? As I stood in line, my partner was able to go to the washroom, get food, and come find me to wait with me for the remainder of my line time. I ate my hot dogs before I even got to the door opening for the washrooms (where the bathroom line continued with another 30 people that had been hidden from the hallway view). So if you think you're close to having your turn soon as you turn the corner into the hallway from the main area, think again. Besides this, watching a hockey game anywhere else does not compare. The prices for refreshments, food, souvenirs, etc are expensive but that's just the norm these days. I also recommend buying merch as soon as you get there rather than waiting during the intermission of afterwards. As long as you prepare yourself to spend a bit of money, and possibly wait in lines (which are not uncommon at big events), then I promise you, the memories are worth every second.

The Short Version: Amazing show. Like a circus, literally…read moreunder a big tent. Lots of acrobatics. Performers are incredible. The Long Version: I was trying to find the Yelp listing for Cirque du Soleil in general, as many listings are of specific shows at specific locations. I think I've found the general listing here (in the city where it is headquartered). I've been to 3 Cirque du Soleil shows so far. My first was Volta, then Echo, and mostly recently Luzia. All have been fantastic. I'm in awe of the athletic prowess of the performers. Like these guys are balancing on one arm while dozens of feet in the air. There are days when I can't even balance on 2 legs on the ground, haha. They juggle, climbs poles, and literally jump through hoops. The acrobatics are sometimes done on moving platforms and on one show even on bicycles. The lighting, sound and props are so good as well. Every show has a contortionist, who freaks me out. I can never watch the entire contortion feature, I have to close my eyes or look away because I find it too creepy, lol. While the show is amazing, be prepared for tiny uncomfortable seats. I get it, the set up is portable and they also want to pack in as many people as possible to make the largest profit possible, but just be advised. You are literally up against and touching your seatmate the entire show, if you and/or they are an average-sized adult. If you're tiny like me and sit next to say a kid or another small adult, you may be spared of such close contact. The main tent is where the show is, but they have other connected tents where you can buy concessions and souvenirs. There are fun places set up to take selfies/pictures. There's also a VIP tent that VIP ticket holders can access. There's free (well, included in the price of your VIP ticket) food and drinks, and the port-a-potties there are more luxurious (yeah, never thought I'd ever describe port-a-potties as luxurious, but they flush and there's a sink and soap and they are relatively spacious). The VIP tickets are pricey but my husband won some VIP tickets through a contest with the Lac Leamy Casino, so that's how we got to have this fancy experience. All staff in the VIP tent were so courteous and helpful. Oh, with VIP tickets you also recieve a Cirque du Soleil branded souvenir. It's pretty cool how Cirque du Soleil essentially started out as buskers in the small town of Baie-Saint-Paul, QC in the 1980s and now has grown into a multi-million dollar company with shows that tour internationally. They never disappoint and they are always a showstopper. I've watched several Cirque du Soleil shows over the past 20 years and one thing that keeps bringing me back is the talent, creativity and uniqueness of each how. Each show comes with a beautiful story and often, a strong message. They are well organized. There's some humor added. There is crowd interaction. The shows always give you a WOW factor because you can never expect what's to come. I strongly recommend this to anyone. Whether you've been before or planning to go for the first time, you won't regret it.

When the weather grows colder and the outdoor public tennis courts close for the year Stade IGA is…read morethe most affordable option if you want to continue playing tennis throughout the winter months. They have a large number of indoor courts for you to reserve. It will be more expensive than the outdoor courts run by the city but then again their operating costs are higher. Everything about the facilities is beautiful. There is a waiting area with tables and chairs where you can take a break, wait for your reservation or just watch the other matches going on. The locker rooms are spacious and clean. The courts are in good shape and there are nets between each one so if you make a bad stroke your ball won't travel too far. My only complaint is that the air is a little stuffy, but I imagine that it is hard to get proper ventilation in a large, open space such as this one. For those of us who don't want to pay for membership at private tennis clubs Stade IGA offers an excellent alternative to keep playing tennis when the outdoor courts close for the year. It is also well located and can be easily accessed by public transit or car.
