Highly Recommend!! I have wanted to go to this place for a really long time but finally got around to it last week. They have about 10 or 12 vintage pinball machines in very good condition. You get a free token with your first drink, and there's a machine you can feed cash into and get a whole bunch of tokens. Personally I wanted to try every single game. Super cute atmosphere, fun reasonably priced drinks. Really adorable vintage neon signs on the walls, with a rather large jukebox in the corner. I Absolutely adore this place and I can't wait to go back

At a dollar a game, it gets a little expensive. But, the atmosphere is very chill and the Moscow Mules are legit. I also love that here's an OG photo booth here! A really nice little place for an evening o

A special little fun place that (especially) folks born before the early 80's would appreciate. They have maybe 20? pinball machines with a couple of baseball ones the kind I've never seen before. Some more retro looking than others. My favorite is the Old Chicago, but the Dolly Parton was especially popular with both guys and girls. At $1 per game (you get 5 balls) it's not too bad, unless you truly suck. Besides the machines, what's unexpectedly great about the place is their drinks selection, where they offer a mix of commercial and craft beers, as well as cocktails and non alcoholic beverages. There was something for everyone. Happy to have discovered this!

What a great idea. A simple down to earth place to hang out with friends. Listen to some vinyl or choose your own music on a vintage jukebox all with the backdrop of pinball machines. There are around 10 pinball machine, pure analog pleasure. Some older machines to more modern all well maintained and lots of fun. 1$ buys you a token and every token get you five balls. Drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is laid back, they'll even let you bring in food (like Schwartz from across the street). Everyone I have brought to this place has loved it.

So many machines to choose from

This place is amazing. The drinks are delicious (and reasonable), the staff is friendly, and pinball + drinking is way too much fun. They make their own ginger beer, which makes for quite the dark and stormy. This place is a must visit if you're looking for an exciting and different night out!

So glad there is pinball in Montreal!

Amazing selection of pinball! The world needs more pinball. Great looking venue! Would go everyday if I could!

I love love love this place. It was a cheap menu and an expensive menu. Pinball games are a dollar and they even have a picture booth. The whole retro vibe is beyond adorable, a great place to go for a fun night out!

    Review Highlights - North Star

The pinball machines were so cool, as was the lighting and old French movie playing from a projector on the wall.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

I'm a fan of cocktail bars, and after reading up on this spot I made it my intention to check it out. It just so happened that it was a short walk from my hotel, so we decided to check it out one night before heading to dinner. The Cloakroom is a speakeasy, nestled behind a hidden door in a men's clothing shop. In the line of being a speakeasy, the space is small - there are only 24 seats but since we got there right at opening we were seated right away. The space is dark and intimate, with the bottles of liquor lit up behind the bar providing an attractive focal point. One of the more unique features of the bar is that there's no menu; we told our server the types of liquors we wanted along with the flavor notes and they crafted a cocktail based on our tastes. We ultimately had two rounds; my first drink was vodka-based and fruity, while I went with something gin-based and dryer. Both were very good - there's little fanfare with presentation; the bartenders let the drinks speak for themselves. Service was great; due to the setup, each patron is given extra attention which really highlighted the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Cloakroom Bar. This was definitely a unique experience with excellent curated drinks. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.

Tucked away with a beautiful terrasse in the back, it's the kind of place you'd almost miss--but absolutely shouldn't. The service was fantastic from start to finish--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The food was equally impressive. Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!
