The dinning room is chic, the service is charming and the menu is classic and seasonal. And customers get to feel all warm a fuzzy for supporting a local family business in the center of Auxerre.

However, on a Sunday evening, when the only other options open were take-out food and bars- it was the best open option in the middle of the old city with an easy parking lot nearby for travelers just stopping through. Food quality was great for the price. The Tour du Jour at 15€ was a great deal for salad, and meat and veggie dish, and a fruit cup dessert. Service was friendly and efficient, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

It was a sunday and the town was pretty much dead. This place here looked good and offered outdoor-seating with some shade and allowed dogs outside. Since it was so hot, we weren't overly hungry. First we ordered some Ricard with Ice, which was very refreshing. Our dog got a bowl of cold water, which the nice waiter brought. Then we shared a salad: Rustique XL. And that was surprisingly good. Greens, potatoes, tomatoes, bacon, cheese and poached eggs and bread. Really enough for us to share. It's more like a meal than a salad, in a good way! The price was fair, given the location and the nice outdoor space. A nice visit! Also one of the few places that were open for a meal on this sunday.
