This was the site of my last meal on my most recent trip to Paris, and I must say that it did exceed my expectations. My travel buddy and I stayed in an apartment in the same building as this restaurant, and for every other night of our trip we favored other places that were recommended to us either by locals, guides, or Yelp over this one. At least for me, part of that reason was that this place never seemed to be all that busy except for some regulars who hung out on the patio, and we all know that the sign of a decent Parisian restaurant is that you can barely get in! But on our final night, we were exhausted, had to be up early to trek it to CDG, and didn't feel like factoring Metro travel time into our dinner. So in we wandered. We were the only people seated indoors, and as it turns out, it's got a funky, eclectic jazz club, hipster-ish vibe. The cuisine is Mediterranean/Turkish, and I opted for the "mixed grill" plate, which was quite good. No complaint about the service either. Prices were reasonable for Paris. I don't know--there's just something about the lack of patrons that makes me not want to rate it much higher. Maybe it's because a big part of dining in Paris is the people-watching and the experience of dining in close quarters with a couple dozen other people. It's not bad, but there are other places we ate for dinner that I liked better. read more
