The most life- changing experience with French cuisine. This is what French culinary dreams are…read moremade of. Get the appetizer grilled foie gras with side of greens, you won't regret it. The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

This place feels like a Foie Gras specialist but also, a tourist destination. Over 80% of the…read morepatrons here were tourists. As a Chinese, I understood more than 50% of the conservations (Chinese). Which doesn't mean anything about the food. Just observation. Onion soup - 2 stars. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.

What an amazing dinner in Le Mans! It seems very typical of French restaurant to not begin serving food until around 7:30p so mistake on our part! When we came back at 7:30 half of the restaurant was already full but the owner gestured to a table which was reserved for us. I think what was most impressive is this restaurant is a one man show. The owner is both the chef and the server and is able to do everything for the restaurant at the same time. While we were dining, many locals stopped in to get to-go salads or tabbouleh which really shows that this is one of the best spots to go to in Le Mans. For food we ordered a charcuterie plate, gazpacho, vegetarian salad, and an aperetif. All the food was extremely delicious. My favorite was definitely the gazpacho which had the perfect amount of kick to it. I'd also never had melon with my salad with spices on top, the mixture of the sweet and savory was amazing. I will definitely be back here if we are in Le Mans again. The service we received was amazing, the food prices were reasonable, and the food was impeccably delicious. The owner spoke some english and we were able to order with my limited knowledge of french, he stopped by many times throughout the meal to ensure we were liking the food and to see if we wanted anything else.
