However, the portions were more than expected considering it was gourmet. We couldn't finish our entrees. Good spot for French brunch as it is a top fine-food grocer and deli. Sit outside on the sidewalk. There is an awning/umbrella to block out the sun which was great on a hot day. Note founded in 1894!

Oh my goodness, what a find! We stopped here for no better reason than our apartment was right…read morearound the corner and we were in the mood for a nice French lunch. Such good luck! I started with the free-range eggs with mayo, and my wife started with the leeks with vinaigrette. The eggs were delicious, but the leeks may have been the best preparation I've ever had in my life. For our main courses, she had the egg muffin, and I had the sausage and mash. Our meal was superb. Whoever is in the kitchen has clearly learned the art of French cuisine well. Service was fantastic, the people-watching (we ate al fresco) was fantastic, and I simply couldn't think of a way to make this a better meal.

How was flying out Charles de Gaulle Airport the next day and I just arrived from Frankfurt Germany…read moreby train when I looked up a French restaurant near the Gard du Nords train station and found BB. Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

A phenomenal choice! I truly appreciated the tasting menu- one starter, main, and dessert. All left…read moreme and my plus one feeling over the moon and full! We paired it with an amazing bottle of wine and the rest was history. The steak sauce... can we bottle this somehow? Because I'd like to put it on everything. My husband got the prix fixe menu with French onion soup, duck breast with sweet potato, and dessert. The French onion soup had such a rich depth of flavor and i can confidently say this was the best I've ever tried. The duck breast was succulent and perfectly cooked, with an amazing red wine reduction, complemented perfectly by the sweet potato. The dessert was apple millefieulle and speculoos with coffee ice cream. I wouldn't think of apple and coffee going together but it was a nice end to the meal. I must add that we came with our 4 year old - a tough critic - and he ate 3 helpings of the mashed sweet potatoes! I was feeling like something light this evening and ordered the veggie plate and was not disappointed. This may have been one of my favorite veggie plates I've ordered - there were so many flavors to choose from, it was definitely my kind of meal! From the eggplant layered component, to the light yet complex broccoli soup, to the potatoes, everything was excellent. But the star for me was the garlic mushrooms - I wish I knew how to make these! My husband and I talked about how much we enjoyed our and how we must try the escargot and foie gras next time. This is a must visit on our next trip to Paris!!
