What a great meal we had but the service sucked…read more We all god the same meal so it was easy half pound shrimp and you pick your sauce and heat. The part that really sucked they didn't have any corn ! Which is terrible. I had to get rice which I didn't end up eating. The lady at the counter was ignoring clients and the old people in front of us through their hands in the air when she decided to take a phone call while looking at them walking to the cash. She was just not happy to be there and very slow. Our food sat there for a little bit we kept making eye contact with her so she would know but just would look back at the food and then leave it. Someone came to take over for her as maybe they noticed that she wasn't happy. I won't lie tho the food was great the sauce the crab one with butter and lemon pepper was amazing! We all said we would all eat it again just pick up delivery or try the location in the West Island.

I genuinely crave eating here at least once every few weeks and with price that aren't unaffordable I often give into those cravings. You can always switch up your side your mains or your favouring so there's never really the opportunity to be bored either! The staff always goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of even though the restaurant is always busy! This spot is always a treat and worth coming to see !

Not a huge amount of seating and the three times we've been, we've seen lineups for groups larger than four waiting to be seated. Most of the items are offered grilled or fried, but you can ask for a different cooking method and they try to accommodate. They have a set menu from which to choose OR you can, as mentioned previously, pick your own fish by weight to be prepared. Unless you have a specific fish in mind that you must have and the exact cut or piece, I highly suggest just sticking to one of the menu items to keep your bill reasonable. The menu items are very fair in price, but if you start to get fancy and ask for a piece of halibut to be cut, don't be surprised if your meal quickly becomes $40 lol, which would be expected at a more fine dining establishment, but in this diner type of setting, is a bit much. I always order the grilled shrimp plate which is 8 medium-sized well seasoned grilled shrimp that come with crunchy, tasty french fries and a very nice, fresh garden salad. The price on that dish is $15, and it's a very generous portion. The appetizer sized calamari is also a very good deal at $10, easily shared between two people. Note, the calamari looks pale and unappetizing at first glance, but it's cooked just right and tastes great. For the fish and seafood lovers, this definitely is a more unique place and so many types of fish to try!

My husband and I walked in on a Friday night and while it was busy, we were still able to get a table. We ordered a variety of bites to enjoy, including the seafood poutine which was a very generous portion! The Octopus was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the sauce it was served with. The tartare was delicious as well. Everything was high quality and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient, but we didn't feel rushed by any means.

And, that's the exactly the focus here: Lobster Rolls, Canadian Oysters and plentiful seafood selections. The freshness and distinctive quality of these delicacies make Pincette an emerging staple of the area. Having opened in 2021 as part of a local restaurant group, the dishes are crafted by Chef Khelil Ben Ammar and his team. Paired with a list of Canadian wines, this is a great spot for pairing Quebequis cold climate varietals with the delicate flavors of local seafood. The environment has a "medieval cozy" vibe, with exposed stone walls and contemporary design details. An excellent establishment for seafood lovers.

My new favorite seafood restaurant in Montreal…read more.. we met up at 6pm on friday night, during happy hour. The happy hour specials are one dollar oysters and ten dollars for cocktails. It is very satisfying. One caveat though, the oysters tend to have shell bits in them so be careful. I ordered the risotto as my appetizer even though it was listed as a main. My main dish was octopus. The risotto was perfect, the rice was just right, mussels, tiger shrimps, calamari and lobster tail. it was well proportioned, you could have seafood in every bite until the last bit of rice, just perfect. The octopus, came with onions, capers and olives, not my favorite combo but I did enjoy the tanginess at the end, it did grow on me. Dessert was lava cake with ice cream. We asked to have it with ice cream and it was amazing. Already planning my return...

Always get excited when a new restaurant opens its doors but was very disappointed by this place…read more There's was nothing exciting about this place decor wise or even food wise. First when I had to reserve at this place they wanted credit card information which is fine because some restaurants do that nowadays but what I didn't like was that the cancelation should be done minimum 2 days in advance if not they charge you 25$ for each person, I find that ridiculous because last minute emergency do tend to happen sometimes. Second when we got there the hostess asked us if she could seat us at the bar saying that the bar is beautiful and all. The brings us to the bar section upstairs and seats us at a tiny little bar which seats 4 ppl(nothing amazing)... The 2 other ppl that were already seated at the bar had taken 1/3 of the space leaving us a very tight area to sit and we were not comfortable sitting there. We asked to be seated elsewhere, the place looked packed but there was a table available on the floor but they told us that the only other table they had for us was a table downstairs, we agreed because we didn't really mind where to seat as long as we had more space to breath. Also something that we didn't like was that the bartender asked us if we only speak English, so we weren't quite sure why he did that remark because he was able to converse with us. When we went downstairs we realized that our table was next to the open kitchen and also we were the only ppl from the restaurant that were seated there. Which we found really odd and felt like the outcast of the restaurant. We didn't want to complain to much because we always try to give the benefit of a doubt especially when it comes to new restos. I have this place a 3 star because of the drinks, they were very well made. I definitely recommend to get the east and ivy if you like lychee and also the guilt and ginger if you like ginger. For food we got the oysters, these were really good and opened by a girl just next to entrance by order. The oysters were fresh and I love the dill mignonette, which was different then other places. For mains we got the mussel and fries. Which was okay eatable, nothing amazing. We got the new York strip and asked for medium rare but the steak came medium. The pepper sauce was too thick to my liking. We also got a side of onion rings and mushrooms, the mushrooms were good, the batter of the onion rings were have any flavor and it was bland. The waitress was nice but not really attentive, like I said before we got seated alone downstairs and we were isolated from everyone so I'm guessing she wasn't really reminding herself to come check up on us more frequently I guess. The food was average nothing spectacular about the food here. Also we didn't really like the atmosphere. I don't know if we just went on a wrong day or this place is always like this. Overall it seems like this place is good for big groups and I also heard that this place is considered a superclub. The music we were hearing was mostly techno. I give them the benefit of doubt of they moving us to a bigger space and also the men that moved us I think it was the owner checked on us twice to see if we were okay which we appreciated. Personally I would not recommend this place nor I will go back. For the price the food is not worth it.

The bone marrow with snails was also good, but the combination was a little weird. I liked the bone marrow. I liked the snails. But served together took away from enjoying each part on its own. While the food was delicious, the overall experience fell just slightly short of what I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Service was the main area that didn't quite meet expectations. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before receiving menus and had to ask for them. Throughout the meal, interactions felt a bit rushed - several staff members who stopped by the table were somewhat brief, and on a few occasions, items like bread or water were dropped off while we tried to ask questions, but the busser had already walked away. That said, the restaurant was quite busy during lunch, so it's possible the pace and attentiveness were impacted by that. As for the food, we ordered the albacore tuna appetizer along with the strip loin, butcher's cut, and duck for our mains. Everything was well-prepared, though the duck portion was noticeably small. Desserts were a highlight - especially the pavlova with maracuya, which was excellent. Our server Laura was professional, though not very engaging until the very end of the meal when we were settling the bill. I would still return, as the food is strong, but I have to say that Bar George left a more lasting impression on us in terms of both food and service.
