I am elated that I chose this restaurant to be where I ate my last meal in Geneva as it was…read moreabsolutely delicious. I loved the simplicity of the menu because they have their specialty and when you make it the best, no need to mess with the rest. I ordered the homard entree with homemade chips (fries) and spinach with garlic. The beer I had was a Calvinus White and it was top notch and paired so well with the homard and hollandaise sauce. The chips were some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Food in Switzerland is generally expensive, but this meal was fairly reasonable even on the spectrum of high end prices you will find in Geneva, and the food and service is excellent. They were very friendly and kind since I was dining alone, and I had a great conversation with the two women sitting next to me. I love the ambiance of this restaurant, especially the industrial looking chandelier made of Edison light bulbs. This restaurant is a definite must try in Geneva!! Order extra hollandaise, it's that good!!!

Fortunately, the waiter was able to seat us at the bar without reservations. At least 2 other groups were turned away after us since there was no room left at the bar, and all the tables were reserved. Next time we will definitely make a reservation especially for a Friday night. The servers were all very friendly and checked in on us frequently (almost made me feel like I was back in the states!). I almost ordered the lobster dinner but the Yelp reviews made me curious about the lobster roll so I opted for that instead. Husband got the burger. He's not a seafood fan, so this place luckily had a burger and steak option for him. Both of our dishes came with a small salad (yummy sesame dressing), cole slaw (tasty not too much mayo like at home) and a generous serving of fries (so tasty and so crispy...probably the best fries I've had in quite a while!). I loved my lobster roll. Like the other reviews mentioned, it has a vinegary-herby taste, no mayo. So delish and it was much more food than I could finish. Husbands burger was also tasty. It was cooked medium rare like he asked, and there was a hint of BBQ sauce or something I couldn't figure out what it was. Definitely different from the regular burgers we have at home. We each had a glass of wine and the bill came out to 61CHF. Overall, great experience, tasty food, reasonable prices (remember we're in Switzerland after all).

This was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. A great little find in the Carouge…read moreneighborhood of Geneva. October brings out the "hunt menu" which was heavy on Red Deer, Rae Deer, rabbit, and pheasant. Many dinner items are cooked in the open chimney fire, which reminded me of how steaks are cooked in Argentina. An impressive wine selection, with the majority of the wines being either French or Swiss. We were a group of six and the service was wonderful. We shared a bit of everything. Several colleagues ordered the fillet de perch and it was so well presented and flavored. I ordered the Red Deer fillets, cooked on the open chimney fire. It came with root vegetables and a salad. It was an absolute incredible flavor and presentation. One of our party ordered the rabbit stew and that, too was incredibly done. Oh and the homemade shoe-string french fries that accompanied the filet de perch was truly a work of art--they arrived in these wonderful, small, silver cups. La Huchette will not disappoint you and will be in your top ten restaurants--that is a fact and you'll have to try it to believe it. Make a reservation. We arrived when it opened at 7PM for our reservation and by 8PM the place was packed. I will definitely return when I'm back in Geneva.

If you were looking for a steakhouse in Lausanne, this is the place you want to try for sure. The…read morerestaurant-café located in Prilly has fresh meat from the butchery next door. They have huge selection of meats going from Pork, Horse, Beef but you also have some Seafood and Pasta selection. Atmosphere 3/5: This is a typical café restaurant Swiss style. Nothing over the top or fancy, this place is more a stop and go for the truck drivers as well. The place is a clean place to eat tho. They have a bar section as well and a terrasse outside. Food 5/5: I think this is one of the prime spot for Steakhouse lovers. The meat served are quiet big as you can see on the pictures and they serve it with 3 different kind of sauces; Café de Paris, Pepper sauce or Mushroom sauce. I read that if you ask for a sample of all 3 of them, they would bring it with no extra charge. The fries are good as well. The salad is alright, nothing over the top but you can feel that everything is fresh there. Service 3/5: The service was alright. They were nice to accept us at 1.45pm on a Saturday but we sometimes had some trouble to get in touch with our waitress. The service was fast tho, we were served food quickly and everything went smoothly. In conclusion, if you're a steak lover, give it a shot! The price isn't excessive at all and the price/quality is pretty good for what you're getting. A horse entrecôte is 24 CHF which includes a Green salad as well.
