I can't believe I've waited this long to leave a review of this incredible restaurant. We were in Spain and Portugal in 2020 and after a great day of sightseeing, the sun had set and we were hungry. We happened to pass by this restaurant and from the street, you could smell everything wonderful. We took a chance at getting a table for six of us and they happily accommodated us. Honestly, I can't tell you what everyone else had as it was so long ago, but I had the steak and fries and I was in HEAVEN. Everyone in our party was raving about how delicious their individual plates were. The service was friendly and efficient. We met a lovely couple from Paris at the next table and even took a picture with them. My apologies to the restaurant and staff for taking to long to post this. Stopped in for lunch and got the spaghetti bolognese lunch special with a glass of house red wine. My wife had a cannelloni dish that is vegetarian. She has a hard time finding a place that serves vegetarian dishes (no meat but include cheese) and she enjoyed this lunch. High quality and fresh ingredients make this place a stand out. We had the carpaccio and portobello mushroom starters which we great. We both had the octopus over potatoes which was clearly fresh and high quality but lacked a little flavor for a main dish. We were really hungry at around 4pm and saw that this place is open and serving food.It was a good decision to stop by. Good vegetarian options, great wine and good service. We started with olives and I had verde wine which was fantastic.I ordered vegetarian lasagna, which was really good. Very tasty sauce with good ratio of cheese and veggies. This was a really cute restaurant we popped into for dinner during a recent trip to Lisbon. Cute atmosphere but the service was not great - we had to get up to get the waitress a couple of times and while she was very nice our meal took much longer than needed and it was difficult to get her attention. We got a pitcher of sangria which was very good, and the Galician octopus and a steak. The steak was just okay, but the octopus was delicious! Highly recommend it, but maybe skip the steak! Also had a piece of cake for dessert that was pretty good. Overall a pretty good restaurant but not our favorite in Lisbon by any means. read more

Wow, we almost did not go in. The guy in front, the waiter is from Brazil convinced us to enter. We were not disappointed. We were walking around and i had already seen this place in Yelp Lisbon. It said it had lice music, but we were too late. Sandro was outside and he convinced us to enter. One of the members in my parry was hungry but all i wanted was wine and so did so eone else. We were 3 people. The restaurant has a very nice decor and traditional Portuguese style. Our waiter, Fabiano was at 1st not engaged with us but by the end of the night we were giving each other bro hugs. What a nice guy. The wine i originally chose, they were out of it. He made a very nice suggestion for a Dao and it hit the spot. I asked hi. For a typical Portuguese tapas and he recommended the Polvo (Octopus). I eas so good, with vergin ilive oil, garlic and other spices. The potatoes in it were flavorful. The hungry guy ordered a steak. We dod not expect it to cone with a huge portion, plus rice and black beans. The rice was a little dry at 1st, but when mixed with the black beans...it was great. The icing for this night is when we ordered the Coulant de Chocolate, Chocolate lava cake. omg, it was one of the best i ever had. Even the ice cream was smooth in texture and extremely creamy. What a lovely evening. A singer lured me in with his music, and it was a great spot for people watching in the old section of the city. The food is contemporary with a mix of traditional and world influence. I had the duck .with a wonderful lemongrass sauce and crispy potatoes in rosemary oil. Our last dinner in Portugal. It was ok, nothing spectacular, and a little pricey. Octopus salad was good, with tender octopus and fresh veggies, but the spread on the bread, olive tapenade perhaps, was inedible, boozy, bitter and sour. Spaghetti Bolognese was fine, bland, which was great for my six year old. It had shredded meat which was tender. The service was so slow and inattentive. We had to ask for everything. It was disconcerting to see people who knew the staff invited to stand, eat and drink at the area where food was prepped for presentation. Great for chatting with the chef, but not great for patrons. We had much better meals at the Portuguese, sandwich and burger restaurants close by. read more

After reading the reviews I just had to check this place out and try the octopus. It's a nice quiet place with outdoor seating. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the octopus. Although it was perfectly cooked and it was super tender, it had no flavor. It needed some salt and lime juice to brighten it up. The service was mediocre. read more

The goat cheese was unlike any I've had before and it was a nice surprise, with the crunchiness of the breading and the creaminess of the cheese, along with the little punch of flavor from the onions. The salmon was a huge portion, and cooked to my preferred medium-well. Again, I liked the addition of the little crunchy strips to add some texture and flavor. I didn't try any of the wines. Service was good, quick, and attentive. Lovely live music on the patio (if you don't mind the smoke from the other tables). Things to know: - outdoor space is limited and can be cramped. We came here for lunch after touring Castelo de S. Jorge. It's just a short walk away from the castle and a charming walk through the Alfama neighborhood. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside and we all loved the seafood. I had a sea bass that may have been one of the best I've ever had. The skin was wonderfully crispy and salty, and the meat perfectly tender, mellowed by a basil olive oil emulsion. You can sit outside where the guitarist is playing American music (That Rob Thomas and Santana song? Why? Whatever, he played it well.) or inside which is classy but comfortable.
