The moment you cross the threshold, a sweet aroma provided by store diffusers render the welcoming feel TULA is notorious for. Anything you can possibly need can be found here! Rare garments and accessories will captivate any shopaholic who enters. Beautiful one-of-kind jewelry can be perfectly paired with an outfit found within the store. Not to worry about a specific size or style, TULA has something for all their customers! I promise you'll love the store, but can't promise you won't leave with a shopping bag in your hand! This is the story of a petite fashionista with a big dream... and it goes a little something like this... The mastermind behind TULA started off her career in fashion by moving to the Big Apple. She worked with fabulous designers such as Gianni Versace, Emmanuel Ungaro, and Escada. But, as all Jersey girls do, she returned to her roots. Angela decided TU-share her talent and desire; TU-inspire style at the Jersey shore.

Fabrics are sturdy and I've owned some pieces for several years that still look amazing! The ladies here are always helpful and will spend the time with your for fitting, customers service issues, or just helping with a particular style and finding sizes. Also I would check out their IG page which posts pretty regularly on the newest items that come in and are modeled straight away. Parking is a real bummer, especially on a weekend. Residents get the majority of the spaces, making it hard to find the metered parking spots. Heads up for those who need handicapped parking- they park for free next to the metered spaces. Very trendy and hip place. Love it!

Apparently their policy is when you pick up a "boardwalk sale" item and request to try it on, you're directed to try it on outside in front of people walking or sitting outside (which include men). I was extremely uncomfortable with being told to change in front of complete strangers outside of the store. This seems to be very odd and I'm not sure that's sanitary nor is it moral. I ended up putting all of the items back and leaving. I am absolutely mind blown that that's how they conduct business. Imagine your young daughter shopping here and told to try stuff on outside the store because it's a "boardwalk sale" item when there are clearly fitting rooms inside. WILD. Somebody needs to address this.

During my recent visit to Red Bank, I was wandering around the area off the main drag at Broad Street and this store front caught my eye. It is hard to say what fires one's brain sometimes. I love all types of shops, but when I see a bright, light drenched shop with lots of white and wood, something just fires up my interest. You can see photos of the shop on their site (https://www.shopatforge.com/) to get a sense of what I mean. The store caught my eye and I had to check it out! Inside is a spacious shop with shelves to the left and right and a large island in the middle with all sorts of curated gifts laid out on tables. There are descriptions on every item, which is great because sometimes you see things at these shops and it's hard to tell just what you're looking at. Other times there are items that you just latch onto. There were all sorts of items ranging from soaps, to shampoos, to kitchen ware to an Astrology journal. The common theme was that everything felt elegant and worthy of adding to your home or being a gift. No surprise, as the owner carefully curates everything herself. I wound up picking up a "bag in a bag", a collapsible bag that can fit inside your coat pocket or a side bag. I also picked up some nice hand soaps from Japan. I was told that during my visit the stock in the store was relatively low after the holidays, so I look forward to going back when the shelves and table are more filled with lovely products. Forge is a beautiful shop with a very cool owner and is worth a visit, check it out!
