For a decade, Rajpoute has been a key part of our family's dining traditions, and a priority…read moredestination each time that we come back through the Geneva area. The quality of the dishes exceeds any other Indian/Pakistani restaurant that we've ever tried.. anywhere. The dining experience also is unparalleled. From our very first time at the restaurant, the owner, Shahzad (and at the time his father, who previously owned the restaurant), along with his lovely staff, all welcomed us with warm and genuine hospitality. They have truly become like extended family over the years. Shahzad's genuine attention to detail and personal care he puts into crafting a wide array of dishes, never ceases to impress. Usually, at most restaurants, I tend to want to order the same dish over and over because it's a safe choice that I know I'll like, but Rajpoute is the only place where I'll happily try new dishes each time, because I know that anything I order will be, and is, excellent. Each time that we come to Rajpoute as a family, we try a different set of dishes, many of which are personalized and suggested by Shahzad, based on our individual taste preferences. No meal here ever disappoints. Shahzad and his staff go above and beyond to make sure their customers have a wonderful and memorable time dining. The beautiful, intricate decor and warm lighting make the ambiance so cozy and inviting, and a great backdrop for any type of conversation, whether it's a casual dinner or a celebration of a big life event. What truly stands out about this restaurant, in addition to the superbe fresh ingredients and flavors, is the personal care put into the dining experience. Rajpoute is so much more than just a five-star place to eat. If you're in the Geneva area, you absolutely must make a detour here for a meal!

Everytime I come to Geneva, I try to find time to come here once more. After 26 years, we always get the same warm welcome from the waiters, and the big boss himself. The prices, of course, have more than doubled since the days of the French Franc.... But the setting is still awesome, with wooden walls and ceiling, the complimentary welcome drinks and poppadoms are great while looking up the menu... Food-wise, everything is great, from the luxury sharing tandoori platters to the traditional tikka massala, kasmari pullao and cheese naan. But the one thing that keeps me coming back here, is the Butter Chicken. Nowehere else in the world have I found a better one than here !!! Strongly recommended !!! Namaste !

He also suggested some other dishes that weren't on the menu and brought as complimentary cocktail. The restaurant has its own label of wine which was excellent! This gem of an Indian restaurant is located in the mandarin oriental in the center of Geneva. So as you enter the restaurant your first impression is a wow. The colors, dark wood and purples. it is sensory enlightenment. You can also smell the faint hint of cinnamon and curry in the distance. Sharp dressed businesspeople occupied the tables. That sat is quickly. The service was very quick and the servers all smiled warmly as they performed there duties. Not normal in Geneva. Nobody smiles here. Odd. The server went through the menus options we quickly picked from the options. For came quickly. Wine came quickly. Food was amazing and so tasty. So many flavors. This is a must go if you like Indian food and in Geneva. I think he has a place in London as well.
