I ordered a simple two eggs and 1 choice of meat which was ham for 10,50$ +tax. Everything on my plate came out cold including the eggs and the ham was so salty and dry that I only had a bite of it. Hubby took the "costauds": 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, baked beans, creton and a crêpe for 14,95$ +tax. Same problem. Everything was cold and overly salty. So much so he even said something about it. Felix never complains! Very expensive for something that we barely touched. When I mentioned that the food especially the baked beans was salty, the waitress explained me that it's because it has been sitting all morning in the reheated! Nasty!!! Also when we sat down, we had empty little cups of milk and cream. Besides the food, the service was good. Polite and professional. Just because the food was soooo bad, I will not be coming here to stay in their hotel even less have any kind of receptions!

Before going, I checked out some motels online with the intent of booking one before departing home. I visited the website for Motel Montagnard at http://www.hotelmontagnard.com/francais.htm and was impressed with what I saw. I selected a "Comfort 4" room and called the motel to confirm, give a credit card number, etc. It should be noted that my French language ability is quite good having attended l'Universite Laval in Quebec City and having taught French for 20 years. The room I was given was in no way similar to what is pictured on the website. However, since I was planning on being out of the room most of the time, I decided to accept the room. The room was in the rear of the building, ground level, with access from outside and by interior corridor. There was no security lock on the interior corridor door; the door to the bathroom looked as though someone had tried to kick it in, the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling by its wires. Since I own a Internet development company, I need to be able to have Internet access. Although I had been told there was access, there was none. Note that I work on the Internet for a living and have operated my own online servers so I know how to connect. I went to the motel Office and asked about Internet connectivity. I was told there may not be any in that room. I was given a key to another room and went to check that out. This room was a few doors closer to the main Office. Upon inspection, the room was in better shape but with absolutely no where to plug in my laptop. Note that because I travel quite a bit, I carry my own surge protector bar to plug in multiple electronic devices should I need to. There was nowhere to plug this in. Finally, I was taken to a third room on the second floor reached by a very narrow interior corridor that smelled as though it had not been cleaned in some time. Before opening the room, the girl from the front desk rapped on the door - was someone supposed to be staying in there; didn't they know if the room was occupied - and then used the passkey. Same situation as before, no place to plug in. By this time I had enough. I asked for my payment back and left. I have stayed in many hotels in various cities but this was by far the most unclean, most in need of repair, poorly run establishment that I have encountered. The website is definitely not representative of this establishment and I felt that I had been deceived by their advertising. I would NOT recommend this motel.
