Stayed 2 nights with wife and two teenagers in the Family Suite. Two rooms and a rooftop terrace--highest room in the hotel. Air-conditioned, though we turned it off at night.
Comfortable. Pillows could have been softer, but that is a minor nit. Very clean. Final stairway leading up to room was narrow--about half the width of a standard staircase. It made it more cozy.
20 min walk to train station and 10 min walk to old town. Quiet neighborhood. 7 small but adequate parking spots available. (Though we didn't have a car.)
Helpful and friendly staff. The pride they took in the establishment showed.
We had breakfest and dinner included and were glad we did. Returning to hotel after a day of sightseeing and having dinner outside before retiring to our room was very relaxing. The dinners were simple but good, and dessert was especially yummy. AND they kindly accommodated our vegetarian daughter after our advance notice.
Breakfest was simple buffet style; coffee delicious. Other than the one rather old apple I grabbed, no complaints.
We didn't use the pool but did take advantage of the boules court--there was even a Rick Steves book available that provided the simple rules. read more
