The club represents a casual, yet hip environment. The doorman didn't represent a problem and the line was fairly short. Drinks were good and it didn't get overly crowded or obnoxious. One thing to note is that more guys started to roll in late rather than early. My african brothers and sisters like to roll late anyway, but be advised if you want to avoid lines or a sausage fest..

The interior is slightly industrial and quite large, with 2 floors, various seating areas on the upper floor and to the side of the dance floor. Around 11pm they start to remove the tables in the middle to make room for the early clubbers. There was a band that played 2 long sets of soul and funk, whilst the DJ kept the crowd (20-40, well dressed) going inbetween. The food and service of the restaurant was good, nothing spectacular but it doesn't have to be. I felt the prices were reasonable too; €14 for a big glass of wodka and a can of redbull, €20 for a bottle of wine. And it was super easy to get a taxi at 5am. Me being from another country and not knowing French laws followed suit and lit a cigarette. It was such a dark and dingy bar that i wouldn't be surprised for patrons to smoke there. When my cigarette was almost finished the same angry thug looking man came up to me and grabbed my hand aggressively and squeezed it hard manhandling me until my wrist hurt and took the cigarette out of my hand and said 'get out! Get out! You are forbidden to ever be in this club again! You have broken French laws. I'm escorting you out!' I have never been treated like this in my life like I was a thief or a horrible person. I didn't know French laws were as such and it was an innocent mistake. I was manhandled and in the USA I could sue this bar for touching me in this way. I will investigate French laws and might file a claim. No one should aggressively manhandle a woman this way. Disgusting treatment of patrons. Le Tango is like a time capsule: a dancefloor with a disco ball, surrounded by tables and a small stages, red walls and pictures of drag queens from several decades. Love it! The music is as campy as the interior (from Dalida to Britney) Everybody smiles, drinks and sings along. Delightful! I gladly payed the €9 entrance and €6 drinks, because Le Tango is real, unapologetic and most importantly: fun! It's a place where you remember that the word 'gay' actually means 'happy'.
