La Ferme is located in the center of Chamonix not far from the cable car station to L'Aguille de…read moreMidi. I wanted a light evening meal in a casual environment and La Ferme didn't disappoint. They have a wide array of dishes including their specialty...crepes! I chose the Crepe Complete...which includes egg, ham and mushrooms. It was also accompanied by a small salad. The dish itself went quite well with the house Pinot Grigio. Service throughout the meal was incredibly polite and quick to please which was much appreciated. No question that I will return to La Ferme on my next visit to Chamonix

And then La Ferme appears like a carb mirage. This is not a crepe. This is post-powder spiritual recovery therapy. You walk in smelling like snow and regret. Five minutes later you're smelling butter so rich it probably owns property in Geneva. The interior? Cozy alpine farmhouse vibes. Wooden beams. Warm lighting. Feels like a chalet adopted a French grandmother. Ordered a savory crepe. It came out folded tighter than your ski budget after buying lift tickets. Perfectly golden. Crispy edges. Inside? Melted cheese flowing like fresh alpine snowmelt. Ham doing side quests. Every bite healing my quads. Then dessert crepe enters the chat. Nutella + banana + powdered sugar avalanche. I took one bite and genuinely considered moving to France permanently. My body temperature rose 3 degrees. Brain went from oxygen-deprived skier to Parisian philosopher instantly. Portions? Mountain approved. Price? It's Chamonix, we accept it. Energy? Cozy but lowkey powerful.

Is it weird that France does burgers better than most places in the USA? Honestly it makes sense to…read moreme..they care more about the ingredients. The cheese is better, the meat is better, even the buns and fries are amazing! This place is a popular night spot. They have some awesome live music and really good crowds. We sat at a large table with some folks from the UK that were really fun chat with. The service was pretty good for how busy it was too! Drinks were refilled quick and food came out in a timely manner. They have some pretty good beers on tap too! Like I said above the burger was awesome. Perfectly cooked beef with amazing cheese. The fries and everything else were great too!

I ordered the pineapple express burger, which comes with chicken breast, onions, bacon, and pineapple. If each bite has all the flavors it tasted amazing cause the ingredients complimented each other very well. A few bites were OK if it only had like the chicken breast or something. There is also a Yelp check-in offer that gives you a complimentary free beer. The waiter accidentally charged me for that free beer, so make sure to check your bill! Service was okay as the doesn't patrol around much, so go to the bar to get their attention and pay your bill.
