We got seated anyway. I immediately noticed they had quite some interesting beers and ordered an Achel Blond as appetizer. The waitress didn't understand me, and didn't know the beer either. I had to go over to the bar and point at the beer. I got the beer ... in the wrong glass ... and it was more than a year past expiration date. No biggy, I often drink old beers, but they should check their stock or warn their customers about the expiration date. The wine/water glasses we got had been in the dishwasher one too many times. At a certain point there was not a single waitress around to clean the tables or take orders. Hold on, there WAS a waitress, but she sat down chatting with some other customers. It took ages before our table was cleaned and before we could order something else. To be honest, there was one waiter (I think the owner) who was friendly, and came to check if everything was ok. When we finally got the check, the change was thrown onto the table. The waitress didn't even look at us. When we left I tried to make eye contact with anyone from the staff, but once again, it was as if we weren't there. Keep the chef, and change the waiters please.

The chefs are terrific in how they prepare the food, and the serving staff are very personable as they are attentive. Predominately, and understandably, French-speaking; a pleasant surprise is they also understand English to help tourists like myself to order their delicious food. The Parmigiana was enjoyed too and she even let me taste hers. I'm getting that next time! Cannot say much about inside because I just glanced through the window. It looked clean and spacious. Best of all, the waiters were very attentive and didn't seem to make anybody wait long for their food, drinks and then bill.
